Gwen Stefani Releases New Songs About Blake Shelton, Prepares For ‘The Voice’ Season 11 Return?

Gwen Stefani’s This Is What The Truth Feels Like hits stores tomorrow, and already, the 46-year-old’s new album has garnered her tons of attention. After going through a rough 2015, which reportedly included a messy divorce from husband Gavin Rossdale, who was accused of cheating on her with the nanny, Gwen Stefani channeled her deepest emotions for her new songs.

According to reports, the album, which Us Weekly labeled “one giant pledge of devotion to new love Blake Shelton” on March 16, includes songs about both Rossdale and Shelton.

Below are several lyrics from Gwen Stefani’s new songs, all of which appear to be about her romance with Shelton, shared by E! News.

“Splash”

“You’re helping me forget, what is this / gonna break out my cocoon, I’m gonna take a risk, skinny dip / cause I see you’re on the loose, gonna lasso you, gonna lasso you.”

“Getting Warmer”

“I got an idea, you can save me, and I can save you / I got an idea, we can be nice and we can tell the truth / yeah, we can be decent, and we can be honest / I got an idea, you can save me, and I can save you.”

“Asking 4 It”

“You given me truth and it’s such an unfamiliar subject / so, put your hands on me please…are you sure you wanna love me / you’re asking for it, you’re asking for it.”

“Truth”

“And they’re all gonna say I’m rebounding, so rebound all over me / cause I don’t want nobody else / and I know we said we’re gonna live in the moment, and that’s how good, that’s what we agreed.”

At the end of last year, Gwen Stefani released the first track, “Used to Love You,” off the new album in which she spoke of heartbreak. In addition to mentioning someone moving out of her home, she suggested whomever it was she was referring to simply wasn’t taught how to love.

In November 2015, months after Gwen Stefani and Rossdale parted ways, an Us Weekly source claimed the singer had caught her husband having an affair with their nanny, Mindy Mann, in February of that same year. However, due to Rossdale’s initial denial of the affair, the couple remained married for several months.

According to the magazine’s source, Rossdale had been sleeping with Mann for three years, which overlapped with Gwen Stefani’s most recent pregnancy. Messages between the alleged couple were found on their family’s iPad.

Gwen Stefani and her boyfriend, Shelton, met on the set of The Voice years ago, but it wasn’t until Season 9, following both of their divorces, that things between them became romantic. And in the months since wrapping production, the pair has been spotted all over Los Angeles together and with Stefani’s three sons.

Although Gwen Stefani did not return to The Voice Season 10 as a coach, as she’s been in the past, she was asked back to the series as a mentor for her boyfriend’s team, which she accepted. As for her future with the show, Gwen Stefani doesn’t appear to be ready to call it quits anytime soon. She recently hinted that she would be back for The Voice Season 11.

While speaking of her new gig as a mentor for Shelton, Gwen Stefani teased of her return, stating, “When I come back, I can steal all his magic.”
