Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Relationship: Is The ‘Voice’ Couple Getting Engaged?

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are finally getting a break from the ongoing pregnancy rumors they have been faced with since their romance began. However, when it comes to the Voice couple’s plans for a future wedding, reports have continued.

At the end of February, OK! Magazine claimed Gwen Stefani was sporting a baby bump while out in Los Angeles — and claimed she was pregnant with Shelton’s twins. At the time, Gwen Stefani had been photographed leaving the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood, California, with her hands in front of her stomach.

“It’s a little unexpected,” a source told the magazine, “but given that they both adore children, they’re up for the challenge.”

A short while later, Gwen Stefani’s rep confirmed to Gossip Cop that the report was “untrue.” Still, a couple more reports regarding Gwen Stefani’s alleged pregnancy surfaced days later, one of which claimed Gwen Stefani had tragically suffered a miscarriage.

While Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton aren’t expecting a child currently and likely never were, an upcoming wedding remains a possibility for the pair, and they were recently said to have been baited by NBC with an on-air proposal. On March 16, Celeb Dirty Laundry claimed Gwen Stefani and Shelton had been offered a substantial paycheck if they were willing to get engaged on The Voice.

Although Gwen Stefani and Shelton have been extremely public with their romance, often tweeting sweet things to and about one another and sharing their affections on the reality show, a televised proposal may be a bit far-fetched. Either way, it would be no surprise to see the couple walk down the aisle.

“[Gwen Stefani] thinks of Blake as the biggest blessing,” a Gwen Stefani source told People Magazine earlier this month. “They share both good life experience, like work, and bad ones, like their divorces.”

In 2015, Shelton announced he and wife Miranda Lambert were calling it quits after four years of marriage. Weeks later, Gwen Stefani’s divorce from Gavin Rossdale was confirmed.

Following Gwen Stefani’s split, which came after 14 years of marriage, “she was questioning if she would ever meet someone that would accept her boys,” the source explained. Luckily, Shelton “had no hesitation” when it came getting to know Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2, and actually “loved it.”

Currently, said the magazine’s source, Gwen Stefani and Shelton are “not putting pressure on themselves” and are “just enjoying life together,” but at the same time, a “long-term future” seems likely.

“They seem too perfect for each other for it to just be fluke,” the source explained. “For now, they seem happy with their relationship, but Blake is old-fashioned and a future engagement seems very possible.”

Gwen Stefani and Shelton began dating while filming the ninth season of The Voice last year. Then, after being caught getting cozy at a Halloween party in October 2015, Gwen Stefani and Shelton went public with their romance during a Country Music Awards after-party in Nashville, Tennessee. Since then, the happy couple has been spotted in Shelton’s hometown in Oklahoma and Stefani’s hometown in Southern California.

Gwen Stefani and Shelton are currently starring on The Voice Season 10 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on NBC. Although Gwen Stefani’s coaching role was taken over by Christina Aguilera, she’s continuing her run on the series as the mentor for Team Shelton.
