Cuba Gooding Jr. Wanted By Police After Bar Brawl


Cuba Gooding Jr. is known for his loud mouthed, funny, and often outrageous characters in his films. His Academy Award acceptance speech for Jerry Maguire is one of the most memorable speeches for his level of excitement while accepting the award. Now, it looks as though Cuba Gooding Jr’s excitable energy might have gotten him into hot water, as it’s believed that Gooding Jr. is wanted by the police.

According to TMZ, it is said that following a brawl in a New Orleans bar, cops are after Cuba Gooding Jr. and the actor is wanted for arrest. The NOPD have issued a misdemeanor battery warrant for Cuba’s arrest when they received a complaint by someone who said Gooding Jr pushed a female bartender at a Bourbon Street bar early Tuesday morning.

Cuba Gooding Jr was said to have gotten into a heated argument with one of the bar patrons after his picture was photographed without his consent at The Old Absinthe House. After the argument ensued, Gooding Jr. was then asked to leave by the female bartender, in order to avoid a dangerous situation. It is said that’s when Cuba Gooding Jr, 44, turned physical on the bartender, and shoved the female who had asked him to leave The Old Absinthe House.

Gooding Jr. is said to be filming The Butler, which is a story of a White House butler that served under eight presidents. The cast includes Cuba Gooding Jr, Minka Kelly, James Marsden, Oprah Winfrey, John Cusack, Joan Crawford, Robin Williams, amongst a slew of other heavy box office hitters.
