Jessa Duggar Admits To Trying To Play Matchmaker To John-David And Jinger During ‘Jill And Jessa: Counting On’

Jessa Duggar Seewald made her way back to the small screen last night. Jill and Jessa: Counting On premiered on the TLC network, and it immediately was met with harsh criticism. While the Duggar family was ready for what was to come, they may not have expected excessive hatred. Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald talked a lot about what had happened with the birth of their son, Spurgeon. Fans watched the three-part series back in December, which showed the traumatic birth. At the opening of the series premiere, Jessa talked about the birth and being grateful to have Spurgeon in their lives.

As Jill and Jessa: Counting On premiered, Jessa Duggar let some juicy details slip. Fans have been waiting for some of the older Duggar children to begin courting, especially Jana and John-David. As the update on Spurgeon was given, Jessa also let out some fun tidbits. According to Us Weekly, Jessa Duggar talked about trying to set up younger sister, Jinger Duggar. Apparently, Jinger is a fantastic photographer and did a photo shoot for the Seewalds. When Jessa tried to pay her sister for her services, she refused to take the money. That is when the matchmaking services came about. Jessa also revealed she has tried to fix up John-David, but he was not interested. Does this break all of the rules the Duggars have in place for courting?

It has been almost a year since Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar had their lives turned upside down with the release of Josh Duggar’s sealed juvenile record. When the molestation news broke, the sisters were thrown back into the public light, only this time for something they had no control over. Both Jessa and Jill were pregnant and married. They had moved past the transgressions that happened over a decade ago, but now they were forced to relive all of it in the public eye. 19 Kids and Counting was canceled last summer, and finally, the Duggar children are back on the air. While the premiere of Jill and Jessa: Counting On featured more Anna and Jessa Duggar, Jill will be more present down the line.

There have been some questions about how much focus Jill and Jessa: Counting On will have on Josh Duggar. Jessa and Jill were both incredibly hurt by the scandals, including his infidelity. The Duggar brothers and sisters have all had a hard time realizing what the eldest did, and each person is coming around on their own time. According to Today, Jessa and Joy-Anna Duggar have forgiven Josh, but trusting him is still hard. This new show will give fans a glance into what life has been like for the entire family, and also a look into what has been happening with Jessa and Jill and their families. Forgiveness has happened, but moving on is taking longer than some initially anticipated.

The revelation that Jessa Duggar has attempted to play matchmaker for her siblings is interesting. Fans have been waiting for what seems like forever for the elder Duggars to begin families. Jana and John-David Duggar are two that fans want to see married off. Jessa and Jill have both started their lives outside of the Duggar name, and it will be nice to see the others begin to spread their wings. Jill and Jessa: Counting On is going to be heavy this season. While the matchmaking revelation was a light one, several of the other things were darker. Anna Duggar went to visit Josh in rehab and reported back to the family. Not everyone is as forgiving as Jessa and Jill, and that was apparent. Jessa Duggar is ready to move forward with life and happiness, and fans are excited to join her.
