‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Star Cynthia Bailey And Peter Thomas Headed For A Split?

Hollywood’s latest gossip has it that Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Cynthia Bailey, and her husband Peter Thomas could be separating soon. The rumors should come as no surprise for fans of the show who have seen Cynthia and Peter struggle since saying “I do.”

According to Enstarz, the rumors first starting flying due to all the drama played out on the show, specifically when Cynthia confronted Thomas about a racy video of him and another woman that went viral. Cynthia has also told Thomas that she has fallen out of love with him because of their busy business schedules that keep them apart for weeks at a time.

Despite the rumors, the couple didn’t go straight to signing divorce papers and instead agreed to work things out. However, more recent events have caused the rumors to swirl once again as their marriage hangs on by its last strings.

Apparently, Cynthia was a no show for Thomas’ daughter, Porsche, wedding earlier this month. But while she didn’t turn up for the brides big day, she did show plenty of love to Porsche via her Instagram. In one photo of the bride and groom, Cynthia wrote “Congratulations to my beautiful @porschethomas … Wishing you & your hubby many years of love, peace and happiness! See u guys next week!”

A more pressing issue that has caused quite the strain on their marriage has been Thomas’s recent assault accusations. Radar Online reports that Brandon Patrick Link has claimed that Thomas assaulted him in his Sports One bar in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“It’s an unfortunate situation,” Cynthia, 47, told OK! Magazine. “Now even though he’s innocent, he still has to go through the process of going to court or whatever. It’s still just less time that he can focus on work and focus on me because now he’s got to deal with that situation.”

Amid the accusations, Cynthia Bailey continues to defend her husband. “Because of Peter’s businesses, he’s very accessible,” she said. “People can walk into Sports One, and of course he has to be a host to some degree—he’s going to be pleasant to people who support his bar.”

However, she also said the sometimes things can get a little out of hand. “But sometimes there’s a situation where the whole fan part of it, some of the fans can get a little aggressive or a little comfortable,” she added. “I think this is a situation where one of his fans just got a little too comfortable and he really just kind of got up in Peter’s personal space.”

“Lord knows what can happen when you get into somebody’s personal space too much,” she continued. “And he was talking some little kind of crazy stuff to the point where Peter definitely felt like he needed to push him away from him because he was like kind of leaning into him too close. Some of the things he was saying were definitely aggressive.”

Cynthia also brought up spending so much time apart, but despite the lonely nights, their marriage is doing okay.

“Peter and I are doing okay,” she said. “He spends really most of his time in Charlotte at Sports One. I am between Atlanta, New York and LA. It’s not easy because we are really in a long distance relationship.”

“Marriage is hard,” she added. “It’s definitely not the ideal situation to be in. It’s kind of nice—no matter how busy you are—to sleep in the same bed at night.”

And as E! News reminds everyone that RHOA has wrapped up its eighth season, perhaps Cynthia and Thomas can get a little breathing room away from all the drama.

In a sign that their marriage isn’t falling apart despite the rumors, Thomas recently posted a picture of Cynthia on his Instagram, wishing her a happy birthday and hinting at a happy future together.

“Happy birthday to this BEAUTIFUL GODDESS,” He wrote. “Your journey has just begun, great things happen to great people.”
