Yolanda Foster and her husband, David, revealed they were getting divorced at the end of last year in a statement to Us Weekly. At the time, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star failed to give a reason for the split, and instead focused on the positive times they had and their decision to move forward.
"We've shared 9 beautiful and joyous years together," Yolanda Foster explained to the magazine. "During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues."
As fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are well aware, Yolanda Foster has been struggling with Lyme disease for the past four years, and was diagnosed with the illness just months into her and David's marriage. And while Yolanda Foster hasn't exactly come right out and said that it was her illness that led to her divorce, she hinted at such during an appearance on The Dr. Oz Show earlier this month.
After continuing to face rumors regarding why her marriage to David ended, Yolanda Foster admitted that it was she who changed during the relationship.
"The patient suffers, but the caretakers suffer too. Because life doesn't only change for us, it changes for the person next to you," Yolanda Foster explained, via Us Weekly. "At the end of the day, David never changed, I changed. Unfortunately, these are the cards that life dealt me. It wasn't by choice. But I'm not the woman I used to be and I probably will never be again.
Yolanda Foster went on to reveal that while her life was focused on getting well, her husband, a music producer, was constantly on the go, traveling to and from shows where loud music is played.

According to a Radar Online report on March 14, a source claimed host Andy Cohen attempted to get Yolanda Foster to speak of her split from David, but she felt the issue should be left alone. The source also added, however, that Yolanda Foster did wonder out loud whether her marriage would have remained intact if it wasn't for her Lyme disease diagnosis. Meanwhile, Yolanda Foster's friend and co-star, Erika Girardi, who was brought to the series last year, came to her defense and suggested Cohen move on to another topic.
