Henry Hopper, Dennis Hopper’s Son, Accused Of Raping Minor

Henry Hopper, the son of the late actor Dennis Hopper, has been accused in a lawsuit of raping a then-15-year old girl.

TMZ reports that the lawsuit alleges that after meeting through a mutual friend in February of last year, he and the girl stayed in contact on Facebook and “in the months that followed, Hopper invited her to his home in Venice, CA on multiple occasions with the promise of drugs and alcohol.” TMZ adds that according to the allegations, after getting her loaded, Henry Hopper “engaged in sexually offensive conduct with her.”

The young girl is identified only as “Jan Doe” in the lawsuit to protect her identity which is common in legal actions involving minors and alleged sexual misconduct.

Dennis Hopper, who died in May 2010 from prostate cancer, had a long distinguished career in the film industry, and is perhaps best known for his role in Easy Rider, which he co-wrote. Dennis Hopper also appeared in Apocalypse Now and Blue Velvet among many other roles.

Henry Hopper, 21, is the elder Hopper’s son with his fourth wife, Katherine LaNasa. He is an on-again, off-again actor who recently starred in Gus Van Zant’s Restless, which was featured at the Cannes Film Festival in 2011.

The legal papers claim that Henry Hopper “preyed upon a young impressionable child, suggesting that he cared for her, luring her into his home with promises of alcohol and illegal drugs, and then repeatedly taking advantage of her youth and vulnerability.”

Back in February, The Inquisitr reported that Henry Hopper was dating Lindsay Lohan.
