Lala Kent & James Kennedy: Did The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Co-Stars Hook-Up?
If you watched last night’s season finale of Vanderpump Rules, it sure looked like Lala Kent and James Kennedy were about to hook up. The co-stars were seen leaving Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz’s engagement party and walking hand-in-hand.
Vanderpump Rules ended on a strong note on Monday night. James Kennedy and Jax Taylor were seen fighting, as were Lala Kent and Kristen Doute. Both the reality stars were open about their hate for each other, once they found out that they both want Kennedy.
During the after-party, James and Lala unabashedly flirted in front of Kristen, who was obviously disgusted by what she saw. After Lala shoved Kristen and James bashed Jax, the two decided to leave the after-party together.

The British musician was heard saying, “You can’t always get what you want, but in this case you got exactly what you want. Kristen and I are pretty good right now, Lala and I are even better. So I’m going for the golden ticket – Lala.”
So does that mean that Lala Kent and James Kennedy finally hooked up after Season 4 of Vanderpump Rules came to a close? Kennedy played with both Doute and Kent’s affections for most of the season, even though it’s clear that he was obsessed with Kent. Kennedy also won the night by scoring his main prize, even though he’s not the winner of Season 4.

Back in December, Lala Kent revealed to the Dirty that she did hook up with James Kennedy, but she was unaware of how it went down. Lala did an exclusive interview for Nik Richie during his podcast after she previously denied hooking up with James, expressing that she had no sexual attraction to him. However, Lala confessed during the interview that James told her that they hooked up one tonight ago, in which she has no recollection of due to being blackout drunk during the time.

Meanwhile, Richie expresses his concern, asking whether or not that sex was consensual. Kent brushed off the concerns by saying that she knows and trusts Kennedy enough to know that he wouldn’t take advantage of her. Richie then said that their drunken hook-up sounded more like rape. This has sparked some debate among Vanderpump Rules fans on whether or not Kent was sexually assaulted, since she was unconscious at the time.
In another interview with Radar Online, Lala has revealed that she never got into a serious relationship with the notorious playboy.
“I always clicked with James. I wasn’t initially attracted to him like that. But like I said, no matter what our title may be, we’re always going to be the closest of friends.”
Kent revealed that she and Kennedy were friends long before they co-starred in the Bravo series.
“I had known him for a long time. I’ve been going to Sur since I was 18 years old, so I’ve seen employees come and go. Even before we started filming, I knew James. We just have to always hit it off, so no matter what, we were going to be friends.”
It seems like Lala Kent has since moved on from her friends-with-benefits relationship with James Kennedy. Last month, she shared a photo of her new man and she revealed that he was her current crush. Lala included the abbreviation “MCE,” which stands for “My Crush Everyday. (SIC),” which has since been removed from her profile.
And in a deleted scene from Vanderpump Rules Season 4 shared online, Kent explained why she and Kennedy didn’t work out. When it came time to having a conscious and consensual hook-up, Kent realized that she only liked kissing him.
“I mean it just wasn’t for me … I also, like, didn’t feel very compelled to touch it or put it in my mouth anywhere near it, so I mean it was a failed attempt… I feel like if both parties don’t get off then that’s not f**king each other, you didn’t sleep together. Well at least one person needs to get off in order for it to be considered like intercourse.”
