Are Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Closing In On A Wedding Date?

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been flaunting their adorable romance for months, but is a wedding date in their future? Just last week, a Movie News Guide report claimed the Voice couple had prompted engagement rumors when Gwen Stefani stepped out at an event in Los Angeles wearing what appeared to be a diamond engagement ring.

Gwen Stefani and Shelton have been going strong ever since their romance began on the set of the ninth season of The Voice in late 2015, and in the months since they went public with their relationship, they have continuously been bombarded by rumors of an impending wedding. In one of the most recent reports, shared by People Magazine earlier this month, a source confirmed Gwen Stefani and Shelton were headed for a long-term future.

“[Gwen Stefani] thinks of Blake as the biggest blessing,” a source close to the 46-year-old singer told the magazine. “They share both good life experience, like work, and bad ones, like their divorces.”

Last year, both Gwen Stefani and Shelton’s marriages came to an abrupt end. In July, Shelton was first to announce that he and Miranda Lambert were parting ways after a four-year marriage, and in August, just weeks later, Gwen Stefani announced that her own marriage had come to an end, as well.

Following Gwen Stefani’s split from Gavin Rossdale, the father of her three sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, “she was questioning if she would ever meet someone that would accept her boys,” said the source. However, once her relationship with Shelton became serious, he had “no hesitation” when it came to getting to know the boys, and according to the source, he “loved it.”

For the last few months, Gwen Stefani and Shelton have been photographed with her children multiple times, which seems to be a good indicator of just how serious this couple is. And while they are “not putting pressure on themselves” and are “just enjoying life together,” the insider said a “longterm future” was in store for the pair.

“They seem too perfect for each other for it to just be fluke. For now, they seem happy with their relationship, but Blake is old-fashioned and a future engagement seems very possible,” the source explained.

In December of last year, a source claimed Gwen Stefani and Shelton were already engaged and planning to elope in Mexico.

“The thought of planning an actual big wedding celebration is the last thing either of them would want to do,” a source told OK! Magazine. “So they’ve agreed that just disappearing for a few weeks would be idea. They’re thinking someplace very laid-back and tropical, like Mexico.”

However, at the time, due to Gwen Stefani being technically married to her former partner, Gavin Rossdale, the two were unable to elope. So now, sources claim the pair is planning for a simple wedding in the future.

“Talk of marriage has been on each others minds lately and they both have agreed that is in their future,” a source told Hollywood Life of Gwen Stefani’s dream wedding, in which they would invite only their close friends and family. “They would do a party at a later date for everyone else but they would want it to be more intimate. Nothing imminent, but this year if they aren’t engaged that would be a shock.”

Meanwhile, on March 13, a Movie News Guide report claimed Gwen Stefani and Shelton were already in the final stages of wedding planning.
