Texas: Amber Alert Issued For 14-Year-Old Girl, Adriana Coronado After Her Father Is Found Dead

Authorities in Katy, Texas, have issued an Amber Alert for a missing 14-year-old girl who they believe is in danger and could have been abducted. The Amber Alert was issued after the burnt body of the father of 14-year-old Adriana Coronado was found on a rural property in northern Walker County.

Authorities believe Adriana could have been a witness to the homicide and could have been abducted by her father's killer. Sheriff Clint McRae from the Walker County Sheriff's Office stated the following.

"Investigators with the department have reason to believe that Adriana may have been with her father during the time of the homicide and that her welfare is in great danger at this time."
On the Amber Alert page, it is said that Adriana was "last seen in the Houston suburb of Katy, Texas, early Saturday morning." This was a day before deputies began investigating the death of her father, Caesar Vladimir Coronado.

According to Sheriff Clint McRae, the burnt body of Adriana's father was found around noon Sunday on a rural property in northern Walker County. Investigators also found a vehicle that they believe is connected to the incident. It was recovered from another location. Initial impressions are that the incident also involved several gunshots being fired. This is, however, yet to be verified as authorities await an autopsy report on Caesar Vladimir Coronado.

The Amber Alert was issued on Monday morning after authorities established that Adriana was most likely with her father when the crime took place. At this moment, officials remain tight-lipped about any specific information they have received that has led them to believe that the young girl's life is in danger. It is also unclear if authorities have zeroed in on any suspects.

Adriana is believed to be in grave or immediate danger with an unknown suspect in connection with her abduction. Coronado, who was last seen on Saturday in the Katy area, is described as standing at a height of 5-feet tall, weighs 105 pounds, and wears black-framed eyeglasses. She has black hair and brown eyes.

A statement issued by the Walker County Sheriff's Office read the following.

"The Walker County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in this matter and feel that time may very well be of the essence."
According to CNN, Coronado's mother is undergoing surgery in Mexico and is not in a condition to immediately return to the U.S. She said she had spoken with her husband and daughter on Friday evening and nothing seemed out of place. The father-daughter duo were happy. Adriana had also told her mother that her friends had planned a visit on Saturday. However, when they reached their home, they did not find anyone there.

If you have seen the girl in the image, you are advised to call 911 or inform local law enforcement agencies as soon as possible.
