Monster Jam Pillow Recalled, Reportedly Contained Secret Pedophile Logo

A Monster Jam pillow was recalled by the distributor amid reports that it contained a secret pedophile logo. Nicole O’Kelly, who purchased the plush toy at a Monster Jam event in Syracuse, Florida, said she got the pillow as a souvenir for her 2-year-old daughter. Although it was decorated with several symbols, O’Kelly believes the “heart inside a heart” symbol is a secret code that indicates the child is “ready to be traded for sex.”

WFLA reports “when a pedophile sees children with the heart symbol, it’s a code. It means the child is ready to be traded for sex.” However, the news website did not provide any references to confirm the disturbing claim.

The link between the symbol and pedophiles may have originated with an alleged Federal Bureau of Investigation document published on Wikileaks.org. The document, which is dated January 31, 2007, was reportedly distributed to law enforcement agencies by the bureau’s Cyber Division, Innocent Images National Initiative.

According to the alleged FBI document, “The GirlLover logo (GLogo)… is a small heart surrounded by a larger heart, which symbolizes a relationship between an adult male or female and minor girl.”

The document suggests the GLogo, and other similar logos, are “used by pedophiles to proclaim their attraction to children” and “to recognize one another and distinguish their sexual preferences.” However, the document does not suggest the symbols are used to identify children as “ready to be traded for sex.”

Although the authenticity of the document cannot be verified, the similarity between the heart symbol on the document, and the logo on the Monster Jam pillow have parents concerned.

In an interview with WHEC, Nicole O’Kelly said her older daughter pointed out the symbol, as she saw a similar logo in an episode of Law and Order: SVU.

“Immediately, I went into momma bear mode… I was angry. I wanted to call and text everybody. I wanted answers.”I am absolutely sick,” said O’Kelly. “I bought this for my two-year-old little girl.”

Feld Entertainment Inc., who distributed the pink Monster Jam truck pillows, confirmed they were designed by a now-defunct company in Fort Worth, Texas, and were manufactured in China.

Feld Vice President of Communications Stephen Payne said any resemblance between the symbol on Monster Jam pillow and the secret pedophile logo were unintentional. However, the plush toys were recalled and will no longer be distributed at Monster Jam events.

Payne also confirmed Feld will examine their other products to confirm they do not contain any questionable logos or symbols.

“We’re shocked. We had no idea. We reacted immediately. We wanted to do the right thing as quickly as possible. Clearly we’re in the business with providing high quality family entertainment. This was really obscure. Until yesterday, I had no idea there was an underlying meaning of these symbols and the deplorable behavior.”

As reported by WFLA, consumers who already purchased one of the pink Monster Jam pillows are urged to contact Feld at 1-800-844-3545 for an exchange or a full refund.

Bivona Child Advocacy Center spokeswoman Anna Potter agreed that the symbol may be linked to pedophiles.

“When I see that heart inside the heart, it’s pedophile… It’s that underground culture that they use to communicate.”

Although she said the symbol “could mean criminal behavior,” Potter did not indicate whether it has ever been used to identify children as targets for sexual predators.

In addition to the alleged pedophile symbol, the pink Monster Jam pillow also had an icon with a blooming rose and another one with a raised fist, which is a common symbol of unity.
