Khloe Kardashian is becoming the queen of multi-tasking. In addition to promoting her book (Strong Looks Better Naked), Khloe is starring in Keeping Up with the Kardashians, hosting her own talk show (Kocktails with Khloe), continuing to show support for her estranged husband Lamar Odom as he recovers from an alleged drug overdose after being found unconscious in a brothel in October, and maintaining her social media presence. Now, in a long new Instagram post, Kardashian is dishing up some views on love, reported Us Weekly.
"Sometimes we have to stop being so giving to others because in the process we end up destroying the part of us that needs to be giving to ourselves," quoted Khloe.
For those hoping Kardashian would name names (James Harden? Lamar Odom? Rob Kardashian? The list of those to whom she had given seemed endless), alas. Khloe kept it cryptic but did expand on what she views as the downside of being so generous.
"I find that people may be practicing self care on so many levels but abandon themselves emotionally," pointed out Kardashian.
Khloe discussed what she sees as the problem in searching for another person to make you "feel whole." Rather than looking for a person or material objects to achieve that fulfilled feeling, Kardashian advises seeking self-love.
"So many search for others to make them feel whole. Try to stop searching for your missing pieces in other people or material things. Self-love or personal happiness should never be contingent on success because there are always failures to contend with no matter what level."
Khloe then urged her fans to look for ways to love themselves and to avoid dwelling on the past.
"When we act in ways that expand our self-love, we begin to expand our minds," noted Kardashian. "We begin to know exactly what we deserve and we shouldn't settle for anything less. Don't apologize for your past for it made you who you are today. Make your past fuel your future and the way you choose to live. Be in the now!"
However, apparently pouring out her views on love didn't help one problem for the reality TV star. After sharing that long Instagram post, Khloe confessed to her Twitter fans that she's having problems with sleeping. But although Kardashian kept that Instagram post cryptic, she's been more open about the details of her split from James Harden and relationship with Lamar Odom.
Khloe told Howard Stern in January that she felt the way Lamar cheated on her was "disgusting" throughout their marriage, which lasted from 2009 to 2013.
"Lamar was so great at making me feel like I was the only one and I was this princess, so I never speculated about his cheating," confessed Kardashian. "Oh, it's disgusting! All of these rumors were coming out in the weeklies... and I was like, 'Where there's smoke, there's fire.' Something has to be right here."
Eventually, she accepted his mistakes and moved on.
"For me, I wouldn't change what I did, because it was some of the best times in my life," she told Stern. "I needed that experience for me... The love I received was the love I needed to have at that time... I don't think I'd do it again, but I don't regret doing it."
And that remark offers a hint about why Khloe turned down a recent proposal from Lamar to renew their wedding vows, according to a source cited by Hollywood Life.
"Lamar recently proposed again, saying they should have a marriage vow renewal," revealed the source. "Khloe said no. [She] just can't forget that Lamar cheated on her throughout their relationship. Khloe plans to reactivate the divorce and then find the right, trustworthy man to marry."
As the Inquisitr reported, Kardashian previously revealed why she had put their divorce on hold following the discovery of Lamar unconscious in a brothel after a drug overdose.
At 31, legally still Lamar's wife, Khloe was forced to take on the responsibility of making his medical decisions. And that crisis occurred when her divorce from Odom was almost complete.
"I had to make life-or-death decisions for him, and my divorce was two days away from [going] through, and so we withdrew it, so I was able to make these decisions for him."
Now that he's recovered, however, will Kardashian follow through with that divorce, or will she change her mind and rekindle their romance? What do you think? Post your comments below.
