Shane McMahon Bringing In CM Punk To Face The Undertaker At ‘WrestleMania 32’? One Blogger’s Fantasy Scenario

A few weeks ago, John Cena had the Internet buzzing after a cryptic tweet, which had a lot of people thinking CM Punk was returning to WWE. Obviously, nothing like that happened and it all appeared to be nothing but a random sequence of events. Now, Punk’s name is swirling again in wrestling talk, and there is even a rumor going around that he could end up being brought in by Shane McMahon to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32.

It’s an odd thing to think about, but it’s one that is being thrown around right now, and there is a good reason why.

When WWE announced that Shane McMahon would take on The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32, everyone was shocked. When it was announced that the match would happen inside Hell in a Cell, no one thought Shane would actually be taking on the fight.

Many believe he would have some hired help to get him the victory and control of Monday Night Raw, but CM Punk?

Wrestling Inc. revealed the early WrestleMania 32 betting odds, and so far, Shane McMahon is the underdog in a pretty big way, but is that why CM Punk’s name is coming up?

No, the reason that CM Punk‘s name is making the WWE rumor rounds again is due to a blog post written by Blake Mitchamore at CSR Wrestling. It’s a bit of fantasy booking on how Punk could perfectly return to WWE in a huge way.

He sets it up with McMahon and The Undertaker having their match with numerous run-ins from The Rock, Shawn Michaels, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and others. That leads up to The Undertaker preparing to finish off Shane McMahon when the following happened.

“…a familiar guitar riff begins to play over the AT&T Stadium sound system.”

“Look in My Eyes What Do You See, The Cult of Personality I know your anger I know your dreams”

“The shocked WrestleMania crowd looks to the top of the ramp to see if it can possibly be true. After his song plays for a few seconds CM Punk finally appears at the top of the WrestleMania stage. The roof of AT&T Stadium legitimately blows off with the reaction. After taking in the reaction Punk takes off on a dead sprint for the ring. He clears the ring giving GTS’s to Michaels Austin, Rock and The Undertaker. He helps Shane McMahon pin The Undertaker to take over Raw and finally defeat Vince McMahon.”

After all that is over, Mitchamore has Punk deliver a GTS to Vince McMahon after all their issues and a two-year absence from WWE.

While it sounds amazing and absolutely fantastic for wrestling fans, it’s an extreme long shot. Since this fantasy scenario was written, it’s been picked apart and now many on social media thinks CM Punk is really coming back.

Originally, there were rumors that Shane-O Mac would hire a mercenary to fight his battle for him, and a huge name was being thrown around.

That first big name was that of Bill Goldberg, but it was just another rumor that was being tossed around and nothing more. While Goldberg has had talks with WWE over the course of the past year, there has been nothing agreed upon.

As of now, there looks like there will be no chance of Goldberg returning to WWE in time for WrestleMania 32.

Now, will Shane McMahon hire CM Punk or anyone else to take on “The Deadman” for him? What Culture actually has a number of possibilities for run-ins during the match, but word from backstage in WWE is that the match will be one-on-one and Shane is going to fight it.

As CM Punk continues to recover from injuries, he is preparing and prepping for his first fight in UFC. It appears as if he is happy in his new life venture, and isn’t going to be returning to WWE any time soon or likely at all. Shane McMahon is fighting The Undertaker at WrestleMania, and the idea of CM Punk interfering is only fantasy.
