Elizabeth Berkley Welcomes Son Sky Cole

Looks like it’s been a productive week for the old cast of Saved By The Bell. Elizabeth Berkley, 40, known for playing the uptight Jesse Spano on the kids sitcom, gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Sky Cole.

Berkley, an actress and author in her own rite, gave birth to her son Sky Cole Lauren this past Friday on July 20th in Los Angeles. According to Berkley’s rep, son Sky Cole weighed in at 8 lbs. This is a happy celebration for Elizabeth Berkley and husband and artist Greg Lauren who she married in 2003. Sky is the couple’s first child.

Berkley and husband Lauren weren’t mum about the experience, and released a statement, saying of the special time as first time parents, “The moment we both saw him it was love at first sight,” they continue saying, “We are over the moon and grateful to start this amazing adventure together as a family.”

Motherhood, of course the single most important role in Elizabeth Berkley’s life, the actress was eager to tell People magazine about her newest role as a mother, calling it “the role of a lifetime.” Berkley continued gushing to People, saying, “I’m due this summer and there is a reason why they give you nine months to get ready! it does allow you to prepare.”

Berkley’s announcement of the birth of her son Sky Cole comes on the heels of another Saved By The Bell related announcement. Mark-Paul Gosselaar wed his fiance, advertising executive Catriona McGinn this past Wednesday. What an exciting time for the students of Bayside High.
