Rihanna ‘Happy’ To Have Moved On From Chris Brown Amid Karrueche Tran Drama, Calls Duo’s Fight ‘Petty’

Rihanna and Chris Brown may have moved on since calling off their longtime relationship three years ago, but that doesn’t mean Rihanna isn’t reflecting on her past romance with Brown following the news of the singer’s heated feud with ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran earlier this week.

Chris Brown took to Instagram on Thursday to bash Karrueche Tran’s manager, Jacob York, by implying that York had encouraged Karrueche to speak about her tumultuous romance with Brown in an effort to boost her career. After exchanging heated words with Jacob York, Brown then turned his sights to Karrueche by telling the model that once her ” ‘talent’ simmers,” she will no longer have a career in Hollywood.

“[O]k miss tran, I wish u the most successful career ever! But I promise you this, once this ‘TALENT’ you have starts to simmer, so will everyone else including Jacob, all of your famous friends know u how?,” Chris Brown asked Karrueche via Instagram, prompting the model to reply with her own emotionally-charged words.

“You’re calling me a b**** yet you’re screaming my name in a song about getting back together?” Karrueche asked Chris in response to his post, “CAN ALL THIS PETTY S*** STOP. IT IS SO UNNECESSARY.”

While fans are still debating over the nature of Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran’s social media feud, sources close to Rihanna are now revealing that the songstress is “happy” that she split from Chris Brown given the negative attention surrounding his feud with Tran.

“She has definitely moved on and is in a much happier place right now,” sources close to Rihanna revealed to Urban Islandz. “I think looking back she is happy that she is out of that situation and all that drama.”

The source goes on to explain that Rihanna and her close friends were discussing Chris Brown and Karrueche’s fight during rehearsals for her “Anti World Tour,” which kicked off its first show in Jacksonville, Florida, last night.

“It was some much needed humor during rehearsals last night,” Rihanna’s source continues, “[Rihanna] thinks that [Chris and Karrueche] are both petty and deserve each other. She just laughs about it and some of them make a few jokes about it.”

“We all know that he is bipolar so this type of acting out is not surprising. I guess you can say that she is happy to be outside of that situation and away from all that drama,” the source concludes.

While Rihanna and Chris Brown have kept mum regarding the status of their friendship following their breakup in 2013, Rihanna most recently opened up about her former relationship with Chris Brown during an interview with Vanity Fair last year in which she tells the mag that she and Chris “don’t have much of a relationship” anymore.

“I don’t hate him. I will care about him until the day I die. We’re not friends, but it’s not like we’re enemies. We don’t have much of a relationship now,” Rihanna explains.

“You want the best for them, but if you remind them of their failures, or if you remind them of bad moments in their life, or even if you say I’m willing to put up with something, they think less of you—because they know you don’t deserve what they’re going to give,” Rihanna explained of Chris Brown. “And if you put up with it, maybe you are agreeing that you [deserve] this, and that’s when I finally had to say, ‘Uh-oh, I was stupid for thinking I was built for this.’ Sometimes you just have to walk away.”
