‘Supernatural’ Season 11, Episode 16: Sam And Dean Investigate Old Case — Jim Beaver Returns As Bobby — Amara Still A Problem

Supernatural will not return with new episodes until later this month. However, the promo and synopsis for Season 11, Episode 16 has already been released. Titled “Safe House,” this is the Supernatural episode that Jim Beaver returns as Bobby. Also, Sam and Dean Winchester will be investigating an old case from Season 5 of Supernatural. What else can fans expect from Bobby and the Winchester brothers in Supernatural Season 11, Episode 16?

According to Spoilers Guide, the synopsis for “Safe House” reveals a home that isn’t safe at all. In Supernatural Season 11, Episode 16, a dangerous creature is unintentionally released into an old residence. It attacks a mother and her child, which lands them both in a coma. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) realize that Bobby (Jim Beaver) and Rufus (Steven Williams) had a case that involved the same creature. The Winchester brothers end up looking at the past to figure out a way to deal with the dangerous entity before someone loses their life in Supernatural.

The promo for Supernatural Season 11, Episode 16 doesn’t reveal a lot of details. However, it does look creepy and frightening. A child is seen hiding under what appears to be a dresser. However, an entity grabs the child as screams are heard.

“The world is going to burn,” the narrator teases in the Supernatural promo clip. “And once she gets started, that’s the end.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Supernatural was renewed for Season 12. As for when this season of Supernatural returns, Amara (Emily Swallow) is still going to be a big problem. She is seen in the Supernatural promo clip, and it is clear she is up to no good. What else is notable in the promo clip for Supernatural Season 11, Episode 16 is the look on Castiel (Misha Collins) and Dean Winchester’s faces. Crowley (Mark Sheppard) also appears, and someone is pulled into a mirror as their body causes the glass to shatter. It seems that several ghost-like children will be in the old house. A few grown spirit women or perhaps teenage girls are also quickly flashed across the screen. They are all dressed in old clothing, but what do all of these figures have to do with one dangerous creature? Who accidentally unleashed the entity in Supernatural, and how will Sam and Dean get rid of it? Will solving the case in “Safe House” bring the mother and child out of their coma or will someone die in Supernatural Season 11, Episode 16?

According to TV Line, Jim Beaver will reprise his role as Bobby Singer on Supernatural Season 11, Episode 16. The last time Bobby was seen on the CW series was last season in the Supernatural episode titled “Inside Man.” In “Safe House,” Bobby will appear in flashbacks as well as Rufus, who was killed in Season 6 of Supernatural.

“[Dean and Sam] are going to be investigating an old case that was once investigated by Bobby and Rufus,” executive producer Jeremy Carver told TV Line. “There’s a lot of great throwbacks to things that happened.”

The executive producer also revealed that Supernatural Season 11, Episode 16 will highlight the great relationship between Bobby and Rufus. Carver added that “Safe House” is going to be a “really neat episode.”

Bobby Singer was a fan-favorite character on Supernatural. It was a sad moment when Bobby died. However, he does return for new Supernatural episodes once in a while, which is always a treat for viewers.

What do you think is going to happen with Amara, Crowley, Sam, Dean, and the “dangerous creature” in Supernatural Season 11, Episode 16? The CW network will air a new episode with the Winchester brothers, titled “Safe House” on March 23.
