Jennifer Aniston: Adoption Plans Unravel?
The ongoing rumors in regards to apparent pregnancies and adoption intentions of Jennifer Aniston and hubby Justin Theroux have taken a different turn lately.
Aniston has been one female celebrity that the tabloids seem to prey on as the subject for stories about pregnancy and soon-to-be motherhood. Gossip Cop shares the latest follow up to the rumor about the couple’s apparent intention to adopt. This story reports that the Friends star and her husband did want to adopt two children, but that their adoption plans have since been dashed. The publication shares details shared by a supposed source with the tabloid In Touch.
“‘[T]he two were ‘so close to adopting,’ but says, ‘Jen’s dreams of motherhood have been dashed now that her marriage has fallen apart’ A so-called ‘source’ describes Aniston as ‘desperate to adopt,’ and claims,]She and Justin were halfway through the process of adopting twins — a boy and a girl.'”
“She’d even built a nursery in their Bel Air home. It’s heartbreaking. The final blow to the marriage was when their plans to adopt recently fell through.”
It’s interesting how the supposed source has indicated that Jen and Justin’s marriage is on the rocks due to adoption troubles seeing as in the past week Jen has share the bliss she has experienced in her marriage thus far to Theroux. Jen shared about her love of married life with Justin in an exclusive interview with Harper’s Bazaar recently. Entertainment Tonight relays the words of Aniston during the interview with the publication.
“I’m lucky because Justin is the funniest person I’ve met, and we make each other laugh. Laughter is one of the great keys to staying youthful. Married life is so normal and fun and not much different. We felt married for so long.”
“[T]here was never any adoption in the works, and the gossip rag can’t even keep its lies straight, now claiming Aniston was set to adopt twins, when in previous pieces it was just one girl. In Touch is simply trying to cover up one fabrication with another. Don’t fall for it.”
The actress has constantly refuted claims about pregnancy and motherhood, and in past interviews has noted her own frustration about pressure that’s put on women in this regard.
As it stands, the Cake star is in a fantastic place with love and career. Aniston shares as to the freedom she feels when selecting roles to take on. In earlier years, Aniston took on roles that she felt viewers wanted to see her in — mainly romantic comedies. However, the star shares that when she stepped on and took on the dramatic lead role in Cake, her attitude towards her work changed, Harper’s Bazaar relays Jen’s words on the subject.
“I really have to love something to be leaving my home, my dogs, my husband. The older you get, the more you realize that. I can do other things. I feel a sense of freedom that I hadn’t necessarily felt before. Also, you have to start taking chances in an industry that’s very insecure about taking chances on people, People forget who actors are. They say, ‘You’re too known to play that part. You can’t disappear.’ And we’re like, ‘Give us a chance. We’ll disappear.'”
