Child Porn Suspect Told Police He Was Sick And ‘Not Going To Get Better’

A man was arrested in Lake Orion, Michigan after federal agents were led to his involvement in possessing and distributing child porn.

On March 9, 2016, a father returned home to his quiet building in Lake Orion to find a Homeland Security raid in progress. Adam Dickson, the father in question, frantically attempted to find out what was happening and learned that his neighbor was being investigated on various charges, all including child porn.

Dickson lived near the child molester for years. His own child, a 6-year-old son, sometimes played in the yard with the children seen in the porn videos found on his neighbor’s computer.

“I’m just shook about the whole thing, you know, I can’t believe it. I can’t believe that someone who seems so normal is just really sick in the head,” Dickson told Local 4 Detroit.

His comment goes to show just how blindsided neighbors and friends can be when someone is investigated, arrested, or convicted on charges of child abuse or child porn. What goes on behind closed doors is not always visible in the light of day.

“I’m just going to hold my boy a little tighter tonight,” said Dickson. “It’s crazy that there are people out here like this.”

Federal investigators had been looking into Michael Pierce for over a year when they executed the warrant on his residence. A trail of child porn involving photos, video, and conversations on Skype led the investigators to the child molester.

During the raid, Homeland Security found evidence of child porn involving three different children: two 8-year-old girls and one 5-year-old boy. Pierce was immediately arrested and charged with the possession of child porn. He is also being charged with child porn distribution and the production of child porn.

Pierce didn’t try to hide the truth from investigators after his arrest. During the interviews that followed, he admitting that, over time, he had produced over 100 photos depicting child porn and approximately 30 different videos. He also admitted to trading child porn with others through use of Yahoo! Messenger, Omeagle and Skype.

It has been released by The Oakland Press that Pierce operated his child porn Skype account under the screen name: michelle.lynn64.

The affidavit released by ABC affiliate WXYZ Detroit, showed graphic and disturbing conversations the suspect had with another user. In the conversations, Pierce admitted to abusing each child and seemed to be bragging about it. The document goes on to account the specifics of the child porn videos in sickening detail.

Michael Pierce told interviewing officers that there was no way he was going to get better and that he probably would not have stopped producing child porn if he hadn’t been arrested. He showed little to no remorse for what he had been a part of.

“There is no greater harm, or cancer-like evil inflicted on a child than this type of crime,” Lake Orion Police Chief Jerry Narsh said to The Oakland Press. “The children of Lake Orion are our most precious blessings, and they are our highest priority.”

“We will continue to assist by working to identify any other potential victims and at prosecution to ensure any monster who so victimizes a child, pays the highest price allowed by law,” Narsh went on to say.

A detention hearing was scheduled by U.S. Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Stafford. The hearing is scheduled for Monday, March 14, 2016, at 1 p.m.

Due to the fact that Michael Pierce admitted to his crimes in interviews with federal agents, and because of the great amount of evidence against him in this child porn case, it is suspected that Pierce will plead guilty when his case goes to trial.
