Drake Brags About His Ping Pong Skills On Instagram, Mocks Friend In A Series Of Hilarious Comments

Drake may be keeping quiet regarding news of his impending Views From the 6 album, but it looks like the rapper isn’t shy when it comes to boasting about his ping pong skills on Instagram.

While fans eagerly await confirmation of an official release date for Drake’s highly anticipated new album, Drake took to Instagram last night to blast one of his close friends with a series of hilarious trash-talking comments regarding one of their recent ping pong matches.

On Thursday, Drake’s friend, Levi Bent-Lee, who is involved in Drake’s Toronto-based restaurant, Frings, took to Instagram to share a video of himself and a friend facing-off in an intense ping pong match. It featured the caption, “Come get this work,” prompting Drake to take to the comment section to blast Lee with some friendly smack talk, Complex reported.

“It’s like I don’t rate your sound the way you still can’t get a dub,” Drake began in response to Lee’s video, prompting one commenter to note, “shots fired.”

“You used to be the guy but now you’re down a level like Diablo Frings…,” Drake continued. Levi responded with, “my game defies the law of physics. You study me harder than Stephen hawking studied space. You study me harder than you studied for dirks exams. No matter how hard U study, he and I still continue to hand you fail after fail. #takenotes.”

After sharing several laughing emojis, Drake then concluded his witty clapbacks with, “I play the lines like I have a gambling problem. I play the corners like I’m a shy guy. And I serve like your dad hired me.”

This isn’t the first time that Drake has spoken highly of his own skills when it comes to playing ping pong; the rapper previously bragged about his “serious” ping pong skills while facing off against Jet Bent-Lee in an Instagram video posted back in January. In the caption, Drake hinted that he was taking a brief break from working on Views From the 6 in order to face off against his close friend, ultimately shutting down fans’ hopes of a January release for his new album at the time of the video’s posting.

Drake also famously faced off against Reggie Miller during last month’s 2016 NBA All-Star Game festivities after the basketball star challenged Drake to a match via Twitter, even going so far as to refer to the “Hotline Bling” rapper as a ping pong “master.”

“Working on my NBA All-Star plans and my peeps say @Drake is a master ping pong player, maybe he’s up for a match,” Reggie Miller speculated to fans on Twitter.

Drake was quick to accept Miller’s request for a match-up, albeit denying the basketball star’s use of the word “master.”

“Master is a bit of a stretch. But then again you have to stretch before everything works out. So yes Reginald @ReggieMillerTNT…it’s a go!”

Despite his confidence, Reggie Miller ended up defeating Drake during their riveting ping pong battle, prompting Drake to refer to the loss as “the most devastating moment of the last few years for me” upon reviewing footage from their heated match, Hot New Hip Hop reported.

While Drake may not be as forthcoming with news surrounding his upcoming album as he is about his ping pong abilities, it looks like Drake is taking some time to balance work and play ahead of Views From the 6‘s release in April.
