Taylor Swift’s Adorable Happy Birthday Tweet To Her Brother

Taylor Swift’s very nineties throwback happy birthday tweet to her brother Austin had the whole internet saying “Well, that’s a bit adorable…”

The gorgeous family photo of the two siblings shows them laughing their heads off in a posed family photo set up, in very colorful nineties fashion.

Austin Swift turned 24 this week, and in a #TBT moment, his famous singing sister Taylor, 26, decided to give everyone a happy birthday with the delightful family snap.

The most recent family photo of the Swift siblings have them both looking considerably less blonde, and with the introduction of another sibling in New Zealand’s favorite export, Lorde. Taylor joked in her Instagram that their goal was to look like they were in a new prime time drama called “Family Secrets.”

The photo was taken at last month’s Vanity Fair party for the Oscars, from inside a portrait studio which was set up for the star-studded party. Other celebrities who had their image snapped included internet darling Jeremy Corbyn, the ever wonderful Lady Gaga, fresh from her wowing performance of “Til It Happens To You,” and a wonderful photo of some of the screens funniest men – Larry David, Judd Apatow, Martin Short, Bill Maher, David Steinberg, and Eugene Levy – all in the one shot, looking very dapper and not a little bit Oceans 11.

Taylor and Austin Swift have had a close relationship, with Austin sometimes attending awards ceremonies as Taylor’s date. The featured image shows them at the 2011 People’s Choice Awards. They always appear to have a good time, laughing at each other’s jokes. It was reported that the Swift family recently got together on March 5 to celebrate the 64th birthday of Austin and Taylor’s father, Scott Kingsley Swift.

And it seems the playful siblings have not stopped playing. Before the Oscars, Taylor and her brother and her boyfriend Calvin Harris got busy making a snowman. “Real proud of ourselves over here.”

Austin Swift is an aspiring actor, and last September got himself a role in the film I.T., starring alongside Pierce Brosnan and Stefanie Scott. Landing his first movie role couldn’t have made his 1989 superstar sister prouder, and she boasted on Instagram “My brother @austinkingsleyswift just acted in his first movie and I’m all proud and stuff.” The film is currently in post-production and will be out some time this year.

Since then, he’s also been working hard on a second film called Live By Night, which according to IMDB is also in post-production and slated to be in cinemas in 2017, so it appears that Taylor’s status as the only famous sibling may be under threat. According to IMDB, Live By Night is “a story set in the Prohibition Era and centered around a group of individuals and their dealings in the world of organized crime,” written and directed by Ben Affleck.

It’s been a week of throwbacks and anniversaries for Taylor, with her record company Big Machine celebrating 10 years since she mailed in her first single “Tim McGraw” to radio stations across the country. They found an archive photo of considerably more tanned, and a little less groomed than we’re used to, Taylor popping a single in an envelope to send out.

The first release off the self-titled album Taylor Swift,“Tim McGraw” peaked at No. 40 on the Billboard Charts and went platinum, setting Taylor up for the “Wildest Dreams” success we know her to be today.
