Amber Rose Defends ‘Beautiful’ Kim Kardashian Naked Photo & Talks ‘Double Standards’ For Women

Amber Rose is speaking out about Kim Kardashian’s most recent nude Instagram photos and admitting that she feels there is a gender “double standard” that comes with female sexuality.

Rose defended Kardashian, who she’s famously feuded with in the past, in a new interview with Nightline, and even confessed that she thought Kim’s naked social media photo was “beautiful” and surprisingly revealed that the two are actually close friends.

“I thought she looked beautiful. I think she’s a great mom,” Amber candidly revealed of Kim’s completely nude snap during an interview on the ABC series earlier this week, adding that she respects Kardashian for showing off her body so soon after giving birth to her second child.

“I’m a mom. I know how hard it is to, like, work out and try to get your body back but at the same time, embracing the fact that your body does change after you have a baby,” Amber Rose continued when quizzed about Kardashian’s controversial photo.

“After carrying a baby, I just think it’s really cool and I’ve seen that she’s been getting a lot of [flack] for it and I didn’t think it was fair,” Amber added.

Amber Rose then went on to discuss what she described as a “double standard” between men and women, particularly when it comes to women like Kim proudly showing off their bodies.

“If any sexy guy posted a nude picture with a little black strip over his private areas, everybody would be like, ‘Damn, he’s hot, he’s sexy… Look at that body!'” Amber said, adding, “It’s just a double standard.”

Somewhat surprisingly, Amber Rose also admitted to Nightline in the new interview that she and Kardashian are actually pretty close friends, despite Rose and the entire Kardashian clan butting heads on a number of occasions in the past.

“People think me and Kim are arch enemies and we’re not,” Rose said of Kim on the show, adding that the two actually “text each other all the time” and are always “positive towards each other” in their interactions. “People think we’re not able to be mothers and still be sexy because we were ex sex workers,” Rose continued, referring to her own past profession as a stripper and Kim Kardashian’s now infamous 2003 sex tape.

Amber Rose previously defended Kardashian following her naked Instagram photo controversy in a post of her own on the social media site, where Rose blasted singer Pink after she appeared to slam Kim for showing off her body on social media.

“Damn Pink we were all born naked society sexualizes our breast and bodies. If a grown mother of 2 is comfortable with her body and wants to show it off that’s none of ur business or anyone else’s,” Amber captioned a screen shot of Pink’s comments on Instagram.

“Now, if u wanna talk to kids and be a mentor to young teens, tell them to go to school and to not use their bodies to get ahead?! I’m all for it! But please as a grown woman let another grown woman live as she wishes,” Rose continued in the post, adding that women are “so quick to down each other instead of uplifting!”

Amber then blasted Pink by suggesting she was a hypocrite after pointing out that performed in skin tight clothing during an acrobatic element of her past tours.

“We’ve seen u damn near naked swinging from a rope (Beautifully) but what’s the difference between a rope, a pole and a pic on Instagram? Classism,” Amber Rose noted. “Because u sing while ur half naked does that make it ‘Classy’ or is it because u have a ‘talent’?”
