Splash Mountain Viral Photo: Jordan Alexander Angry At Husband Who Refuses To Ride

Marriage issues are not uncommon, even on Disney’s Splash Mountain. A woman named Jordan Alexander gave the world an angry, furrowed brow directed at her husband, Steve. It seems that Steve doesn’t have an affinity for theme park rides. As a spouse, his wife should know this, but the disappointment arose when he made a promise to her to make an exception to join her on Splash Mountain, according to The Orlando Sentinel.

But as you can see, there was photographic evidence he was not seated next to her on the ride.

When push came to shove Steve said, “I just don’t have it in me.” That being said, wife Jordan Alexander decided to capture the moment, documenting Steve’s “wimping out,” according to a video from Inside Edition.

“He is not a rides guy but he promised me and he promised me he would go.”

Jordan spent time practicing before her final moment as she said she didn’t have a mirror in which to “audition.” So she just winged her expression and hoped for the best. It was comical as everyone else was having their fun on Splash Mountain, most unaware of Jordan’s arm folded appearance. A “What’s wrong with this picture?” moment occurred because of it.

The Disney Splash Mountain picture went viral with alterations made and tweeted around for all the world to see. Alterations were made, mash-ups, and memes were in abundance that poked fun at Jordan’s angst.

The photoshopped Splash Mountain pictures continued as people started to get more creative by replacing the ever famous American Gothic couples’ faces with that of Jordan and Steve’s. This seemed rather appropriate for the dead pan classic. Then there was the Mona Lisa featuring just Jordan. Of course the irony in that, there is no “mystery smile” when it came to Jordan’s face on Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece. Pictures can be found at WBIR.

As it’s a small world after all, Deborah Norville of Inside Edition interviewed the couple as it was also notable that the two theme park tourists had previously made a splash as they were mentioned in the book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Impossible, as authored by Norville. Amy Newmark was also an author.

The book featured one of Steve’s stories called “Kidney Tomorrow” where he and his wife dealt with dialysis and kidney transplant challenges.

The “angry Splash Mountain lady” photo indeed ties into their craving for humor and how it has helped Steve and Jordan make it through the rough patches, such as their aforementioned published situation that made quite an impact.

Splash Mountain, which is a log flume, is a home to a lot of funny, captured moments from marriage proposals, comedic poses, costumed Disney princesses, and the like.

To assure others out there, the couple pride themselves on their sense of humor. For those concerned that the picture was done with ill-intent, it was not. It’s an account of their own comedic brand that probably turned an inside joke to a world-wide viral Splash Mountain meme.

When the water ride was invented, the inspiration behind it was to bring in traffic from the lack of crowds in the area of which existed the Country Bear Jamboree. The theme of the area is based off of Disney’s Song of the South movie, which featured, for the first time live actors in a Disney film, according to Wikipedia.

Disney’s Splash Mountain is located in both California and Florida theme parks in the sub-section of Frontierland. Jordan’s angry lady frown ironically made a lot of people laugh across the internet.
