Ariana Grande Feels Like A ‘Dangerous Woman’ – Sultry Song Has New Meaning

Ariana Grande is feeling very much like a dangerous woman these days. The petite diva just dropped her new single, “Dangerous Woman,” on late Thursday night. Read on to see if it’s everything that you hoped it would be.

Grande previously teased her new single in the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Swim Special, which aired on Wednesday night. She’s also been giving teasers and clips on her new site dangerouswoman.com. Now her fans can finally hear the sultry and sexy new song in full. “Dangerous Woman” have been giving some people major James Bond vibes. Others think it sounds like something off of Christina Aguilera’s 2004 album, Stripped.

The mid-tempo jam has the pop star singing about a man who makes her feel a little dangerous lately. That’s slightly different from the message she was giving her fans in a live stream earlier this month. During her live streaming chat, Ariana revealed the reason why she changed the name of her album from Moonlight to Dangerous Woman.

“Moonlight is a lovely song and it’s a lovely title—It’s really romantic, and it definitely ties together the old music and the new music. But Dangerous Woman is a lot stronger. I want to be empowering my fans. I feel like my personal growth is reflected in the sound. I’m really proud of it… To me, a dangerous woman is someone who’s not afraid to take a stand, be herself and to be honest.”

The title track is the lead single from her forthcoming album of the same name. The album artwork features Ariana wearing a black latex bunny mask and feeling her sexy self. “Dangerous Woman” is available for pre-order and is set for release on May 20.

Grande is set to take the stage on Saturday Night Live as both host and musical guest. She is rumored to premiere another new song called “Be Alright,” and then she’ll keep her fans waiting until the album drops. Grande previously appeared on SNL for Season 40’s premiere in 2014, back when Chris Pratt made his hosting debut.

Dangerous Woman is the third album after her 2013 release Yours Truly and 2014’s My Everything. The 23-year-old singer originally titled her upcoming album Moonlight but announced on social media that she changed her mind. During a Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance back in January, Ari revealed why she decided to go in a different direction.

“As we’re wrapping things up, of course I’ve been writing and singing. We’re at the final stretch,” she said. “Now there’s this other song that has thrown me for a whirlwind and I love it so much. It’s changed everything.”

Grande previously released “Focus” in late October 2015, which only peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The new direction has certainly worked in her favor. “Dangerous Woman” has shot to No. 1 on iTunes, and Grande has taken to social media to thank her fans for their support.

There is some other exciting news for the pint-sized singer. Ariana will be preparing for her upcoming performance at the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards. She has received a nomination for her previously single “Focus” in the categories Best Song to Dance To, Best New Artist, Best Anthem, and Best Song to Lip Sync To. The Radio Disney Music Awards will premiere on April 30 and will broadcast on the Disney Channel on May 1 at 7 p.m.

The singer has been feeling so “excited” after taking an extended break from her “Honeymoon World Tour” and preparing for her new release. Grande took to Twitter on Wednesday night to share her excitement and exhaustion over preparing for the upcoming episode on SNL.
