Ben Affleck And Jennifer Garner Reportedly Still Living Together In Their $45 Million Mansion, So Why Does It Look Deserted?

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner haven’t let their divorce stand in the way of their family life. Despite their public split last summer, the two have remained on good terms with each other, even living in the same home. However, things might not be as normal as they appear on the outside.

According to The Sun, the two stars are currently sharing spaces in their multimillion dollar home in the Pacific Palisades. While Garner occupies the main home, Affleck is apparently shacking up in his “man cave” section of the property. Although the two have managed to make their unique arrangement work, the outside of the home is a far cry from how it looked last year.

In fact, before and after photos, which can be seen on the Daily Mail, show how much the outside of the home has degraded in recent months. Where their yard used to be filled with toys for their three children and luscious gardens, it is now unkept and abandoned. Even the pool is still covered and the grass, which used to be vibrant green, is now a paler shade.

Although it isn’t known why their home has gone downhill, part of the reason is because their busy schedules have kept both Garner and Affleck away from home. That being said, is the state of their home a reflection of their current relationship and the struggles of trying to make things work?

According to People, the situation at home has become very stressful for Garner. However, she is willing to sacrifice a little in order to make her children happy, and that includes allowing Affleck to remain close to their kids.

“The kids love when Ben is home and that’s why Jen let him stay at the family house,” a source told the outlet. “She never wanted them to be disappointed that Ben wasn’t there. But it was emotionally draining for her.”

Following their divorce, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner attempted to sell the home for a staggering $45 million. Despite the help from a top real estate agent in L.A., the couple failed to sell. The couple then paid for some extensive renovations at the part of the home where the Batman v Superman star currently spends his time.

At the same time, the home is also where Affleck allegedly had relations with the couple’s nanny, Christine Ouzounian. In speaking to Vanity Fair about her husband’s relationship with Ouzounian, Garner revealed that it happened after they had broken up, and how it was an unfortunate decision.

“We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation,” she said. “Bad judgment? Yes. It’s not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives. I have had to have conversations about the meaning of ‘scandal’ [with the children].”

Meanwhile, despite the state of their home and the alleged cheating scandal, E! Online is reporting that Affleck and Garner are doing well with their relationship. The two are doing so well that they want to continue to live together in the same home.

“They will continue to live in the house together and have no plans to change that arrangement,” an inside source told the outlet. “They are in a really good place right now. A lot of the dust has settled and they have become accustomed to their new life, which is separate but together in a lot of ways. They continue to make the family their first priority and they have always been on the same page about that.”
