Rebel Wilson Drugged At Club, Actress Warns Fans To Watch Their Drinks

Rebel Wilson is warning fans, especially her female ones, to be careful when they are clubbing or drinking at bars. The 36-year-old Brothers Grimsby actress took to Twitter to reveal that she believes her drink was spiked at a high-end club earlier this week. Rebel told fans that she only drank part of her drink before she realized that something was wrong.

Rebel Wilson described herself as feeling “super tired and disoriented” after she sipped on a cocktail at a club. When she realized something wasn’t right, she immediately stopped drinking and even managed to get herself home safely. But the Aussie actress and stand-up comedian said the next morning she woke up feeling like she had been “hit by a truck.”

Wilson warned her fans to be careful when they are out at clubs and bars, and she told them if something feels funny that they should try to get to safety as soon as possible. While she didn’t name the club that she was partying at when the incident occurred, Rebel Wilson described the hotspot as “trendy.”

According to Us Weekly, Rebel Wilson was photographed pumping gas at a Los Angeles gas station earlier in the day that the incident occurred on, so the club was most likely located somewhere in the L.A. area. In a recent interview with Flare magazine, Rebel Wilson said that despite the stories of people like John Belushi and Chris Farley in her profession, she is not a huge party girl and has never even been sloppy drunk. Rebel also revealed that she has been offered drugs countless times but that she just says no.

“I’m just like, no. I might have one or two drinks when I’m out, but I don’t think I’ve ever been drunk-drunk, like slurring my speech, or sick.”

Still, Rebel’s close call is a wakeup call for clubgoers who leave their drinks unattended while they go to use the restroom or hit the dance floor. In her Twitter messages, Wilson did not reveal if she left her drink out of her sight, so it is possible that the drink was served to her with something in it, which is even more disturbing.

While her most recent night out definitely wasn’t a “super fun night,” Rebel Wilson had a much better time when she was out with friends last week. According to People, the Pitch Perfect alum celebrated her 36th birthday with her movie co-stars Hailee Steinfeld, Shelley Regner, Alexis Knapp, and Ester Dean. In addition to a night out with her pals, Wilson also traveled to Orlando, Florida, to visit Universal Studios as well as Islands of Adventure, where she celebrated her special day with her family.

News of Rebel Wilson’s spiked drink comes amid headlines that Bill Cosby allegedly spiked dozens of women’s drinks to make them pass out so that he could have sex with them. Rebel’s scare is just another reminder that you need to be careful about what you drink when you’re out at a club, or, sometimes, when you’re out with someone you think you can trust.
