Mandy Moore Wins Three-Year Restraining Order Against Stalker Who Claimed ‘The World Would Fall Apart’ If He Did Not Meet Mandy [Video]

The man that’s been stalking singer and actress Mandy Moore now has official notice to stay away, thanks to a three-year restraining order a California judge handed over to Mandy. The man, Salahudin Moultaali, had repeatedly showed up at Mandy’s door, claiming he was “Satan and the Devil,” and “God as well.”

Claiming he was “from another planet and looking” for the singer, the man did not say why he wanted to meet with Mandy, only telling the celebrity that he was “looking to meet for personal reasons.” After the third time the stalker showed up at Mandy’s residence, Moore called the police after recognizing him.

Engaging the police in a chase, the man tried to escape by driving away on his motorcycle, but was eventually caught by police and arrested for stalking Mandy. According to the Daily Mail, the man was arrested February 19, with bail set at $150,000. He was charged with violating a restraining order and felony stalking.

It was not the first time Moultaali was arrested for bothering Mandy. According to the Daily Mail, the man previously appeared at her home twice, “screaming and trying to leave a note at her doorstep the first time and was arrested the second time for doing the same thing.”

During an interview with police, Moultaali told authorities that “spiritual forces were guiding him” to Mandy Moore. According to Entertainment Tonight, the man called Mandy his wife, and told police that “the world would fall apart or he would be killed” if he didn’t meet with Moore.

The police report reveals that officers believe the man is mentally ill and has a “delusional fixation on Satan, Hell, death and world chaos.” It’s not clear how Mandy Moore fits into his delusions.

Mandy wrote in her request for a restraining order that her stalker “knew my name” when he spoke to her over the intercom at her home. An alarmed Moore informed the stalker that “he had the wrong house and I hung up.” Mandy also wrote that she found his repeated visits and attempts to meet her “intensely alarming,” adding that she is “afraid for my safety and well-being.”

In her plea for the restraining order, Mandy wrote that because of the stalker, she has “suffered, and continue[s] to suffer, substantial emotional distress.” A Los Angeles, California, judge granted Mandy Moore a three-year restraining order, and now Moultaali must remain 100 yards away from Mandy, her residence, and vehicles as well as any location in which she is working, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Police also acquiesced to requests to patrol the neighborhood Mandy lives in.

The stalker is not the only legal trouble Mandy is having. The Daily Mail reports that the Tangled star is still in the middle of divorcing her husband, Ryan Adams, and it does not seem they will finish any time soon.

In December 2015, Mandy filed documents requesting $37,000 per month in spousal support, which Adams is refusing to pay. Many assert that Adams makes over $151,000 per month, while Mandy makes just a fraction of that amount.

In addition, Mandy also asked that Ryan take six of the couple’s pets. In court documents, Moore complains that even though she loves the six cats the couple shared, “it is overwhelming for me to take care of eight of them all of the time,” adding that she has not been able to work as much as she wishes because she’s busy taking care of her pets. The couple also has two dogs in addition to the six cats.
