Rory Feek To Pay Tribute To Wife Joey By Writing A Book

Rory Feek is still mourning the loss of his wife Joey, but that doesn’t mean that he won’t be living his life. Rory had a great marriage with Joey and will now be raising their young daughter Indiana without her. People shared that Rory Feek has big plans now to help keep Joey’s legacy alive by writing a book all about their journey. Joey will live on in their music videos, but this will be a great way for Joey to live on as well.

Rory will now be facing life without Joey Feek by his side. These two seemed to be soul mates and it is going to be rough on him, but Rory will stay busy. He shared the details of what he has planned for the upcoming book.

“She talked to me about how she wants me to continue to tell our story, and other stories. This past spring I co-wrote and directed my first film, and she wants me to go on and continue writing and making more movies. And she’s also encouraged me to write a book. Joey and I have both experienced the power of living, and telling a great story, so I hope to be able to continue writing and being part of a great story.”

One other thing that Rory Feek has that will help Joey to live on is the family videos that they made. While Joey was still alive, they made sure to document a lot of their life, which will be great to show Indiana when she is older. This is one way that they will make sure she never forgets her mom. Here is what Rory shared about the videos.

“Without realizing I was doing it, God has allowed me to capture hours and hours of Joey and her life at home on the farm, raising Indiana and playing music. I can’t help but believe that those clips will be an important part of keeping Joey’s memory alive in Indy’s heart.”

Rory + Joey also have a new album that just came out as well. Rory shared that the album, Hymns That Are Important to Us, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s country and contemporary Christian charts and No. 4 on the top 200 chart, is what Joey calls God’s record. The fans are excited that one last album came out from this duo.

There are not a lot of details out yet about the book that Rory Feek will be working on, but fans can’t wait to hear what he has to say about their life together. Rory has already proven to fans that he is an amazing writer in the blogs that he has shared over the last year about Joey’s journey.

Us Magazine shared that after Joey Feek’s death a lot of country stars were speaking out and sharing messages about her. One who sent out a very sweet message was country star Dolly Parton, who actually sent her message to Joey before she passed away. Rory shared that since Joey was just 4-years-old, she has been singing Dolly Parton songs. Joey didn’t even know that Dolly knew who she was, but she sent a message that Joey Feek got the chance to see before she passed. Here is what Dolly had to say.

“Joey and Rory, I’ve loved you for years… Joey, I just want you to know that I really appreciate the fact that you’ve often done my songs, talked about me at different times. I’ve heard that you’re a big fan. Well, I want you to know I appreciate that and I want you to know I’m sorry that you’re not feeling good. But I know we have something in common. We both believe in a higher power. We believe that, through God, all things are possible. So you keep praying, and I’ll keep praying for you. I just think that you’re wonderful and I know that God’s proud of you. I just wanted to take a chance to say thank you for loving me, and I’ll be loving you.”
