Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have been known for their friendship and until some time ago, absolutely nothing could come between them. However, since the Oscars this year, rumors of rift between the two have not stopped doing the rounds. It all started with the rumor that Selena Gomez did not hang out with Swift during the Oscars. Instead she was seen with Josephine Skriver.

There were also plenty of talk that she and Taylor Swift’s brother Austin Swift were inseparable during the Vanity Fair party, Hollywood Life had said. And now the grapevine has it that Taylor Swift is dishing relationship advice to Selena Gomez. Hollywood Life has reported that Taylor Swift is giving Selena some advice on how not to sweat when it comes to her relationship status. The source said that Swift never brags about her relationship with Calvin Harris. Swift even reminds Gomez of how hard a time she went through before she met Calvin. Taylor always tells Gomez to believe that her time will come.

“Taylor is always encouraging Selena,” the insider told Hollywood Life exclusively. “She never brags about her relationship with Calvin. Instead, she reminds Selena about her own heartache and how she overcame her own obstacles and eventually met Calvin. She just tells her to keep believing that her time will come and not to settle. And most importantly, to have an open mind and heart.”

However, it’s been said that Selena, in fact is pretty jealous of Taylor Swift’s relationship status. Hollywood Life has reported that Gomez is happy for Swift, as any friend would be, but she is also jealous that she doesn’t have the same connection with anyone. This is something that Selena has in fact always dreamed of.

Selena would give anything to be in a relationship like Taylor and Calvin’s,” an insider told Hollywood Life. “To have this type of commitment and respect for each other would be a dream for Selena. She has been very supportive of Taylor and Calvin’s relationship and was the first to wish them Happy Anniversary. Their relationship gives Selena hope that she will one day have the same thing and that one day she will find her soulmate.”

The fact that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris recently celebrated their anniversary is not going to help under such circumstances, surely. But is the real reason for the rift the closeness between Selena Gomez and Austin Swift at the Vanity Fair Oscar party? It has been said that the two were very close during the Vanity Fair Oscars party and were seen dancing together as well. “There wasn’t one time that I didn’t see them (Selena and Austin) together. Granted, Taylor was also with them, but at one point it was just the two of them dancing while Taylor was dancing with Lorde and Brie Larson. Selena and Austin weren’t holding hands or anything like that, but they do make a good looking couple, and they looked like they were having a great time together,” an eyewitness told Hollywood Life exclusively.

However, there is also a different version of the same story by Gossip Cop, that says the two in fact did not ignore each other at all. The story refuted the Hollywood Life version completely. The website said there is no truth in the rumor that the two friends fought with each other. “Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez did NOT ignore each other at the Vanity Fair Oscar party on Sunday, nor are the two friends ‘fighting,’ despite a made-up webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told there’s ‘no truth’ to it.”
