Christina Aguilera Is Determined To Win ‘The Voice,’ But Will Season 10 Be Her Last?

Christina Aguilera is hoping to break the girl curse during The Voice Season 10, but according to a report, the currently airing season may be her last. Although Season 10 is just a few episodes in and the teams have yet to be formed, a report recently claimed Christina Aguilera was threatening to quit the show due to her co-star Blake Shelton’s highly publicized relationship with Gwen Stefani.

On March 9, Celeb Dirty Laudry claimed Christina Aguilera can’t stand the thought of not being the only female on the show and hates that fans of The Voice have responded so well to Stefani’s coaching role on the show and her romance with Shelton. In addition, Christina Aguilera reportedly believed Stefani was down with the show after Season 9, only to find out she would be brought back despite her coaching spot being filled.

The report also claimed Christina Aguilera felt Stefani was a “conceited showboat” who “can’t even sing without auto-tune.” Meanwhile, Shelton was believed to have had some pull on set, which Stefani was accused of using to her advantage following months of coverage on their relationship.

“Not only can [Christina Aguilera] not stand Gwen, and is livid she has to share a season with her, but Gwen and Blake’s relationship and PDA is going to totally overshadow Christina’s big return, actually it already has begun to,” Celeb Dirty Laundry explained.

OK! Magazine added that the feud between Christina Aguilera and Stefani has been heating up since the premiere of The Voice aired at the end of February. The outlet noted that Christina Aguilera had already suffered a meltdown backstage, during which she reportedly threatened to quit the NBC singing competition.

As rumors swirl around the web, Christina Aguilera and her co-stars have ignored reports, instead focusing on the new season, and in recent days, Christina Aguilera has shared a number of tweets with Shelton, one of which claimed his mind wasn’t in the game.

Christina Aguilera also shared the tweet below in regard to Shelton’s allegedly overactive hand.

During an interview last year, Christina Aguilera forecasted a Season 10 win.

“We’ve already pre-taped next season – season 10’s blinds. We all have our teams. This could be the season, cross my fingers, that Team Xtina might take it,” Christina Aguilera predicted in November 2015. “I’ve got some pretty great talents.”

While Christina Aguilera returned to her coaching spot during The Voice Season 10, Stefani will be featured in a mentor role throughout the year. When the series returns for Season 11, it is likely that she will take Christina Aguilera’s spot as coach. For the past few seasons, starting when Christina Aguilera went on maternity leave to give birth to her second child, she and Stefani have alternated seasons, and unless that changes, Stefani is expected to be back alongside her boyfriend.

In other Christina Aguilera news, her fiancé, Matt Rutler, was recently photographed driving with his baby daughter on his lap in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, Rutler could have been hit with a fine, but he did not appear to be caught by police.
