Leah Messer Not Allowed To Contact Corey Simms Without Miranda, ‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Says New Wife Is ‘Jealous’
Leah Messer has been dealing with a lot over the last year. From the ending of her marriage to losing custody of her twin girls, the stress was coming from all directions. Messer is currently working on improving her life, and it appears to be going well. Teen Mom 2 returns for a seventh season in just under two weeks, and much of Messer’s struggles will be documented. Now that things have returned to a semi-normal level, life is becoming much easier for Messer to face daily.
Earlier this year, Leah Messer regained shared custody with her ex-husband, Corey Simms. The two had been battling since last season of Teen Mom 2, and back in October the judge ordered Simms get full custody of the girls with Messer seeing them on the weekends. It was an incredibly hard adjustment, but the necessary changes were made and the custody agreement was later altered. According to the Hollywood Gossip, Leah Messer and Miranda Simms are still having tension issues. Despite the custody part being handled, Simms doesn’t trust Messer with her husband. All communication has to go through with Simms present, including both phone calls and text messages. While it may seem a bit excessive, there are several reasons for Simms to have to worry about Corey and Leah together.
Teen Mom 2 fans have followed Leah Messer and Corey Simms for several years. From 16 & Pregnant to the seventh season of Teen Mom 2, these two have a lot of history together. In fact, there were some indiscretions between the two, even after Simms married Miranda. While it is is unclear whether Messer and Simms slept together or just messed around, the incident was discussed but not elaborated on. This is somewhat of a pattern for Leah Messer, especially when she feels like she is losing someone she loves. There were incidents where she cheated on Simms, and rumored reports of infidelity with Jeremy Calvert. Messer believes Miranda is jealous of her being a part of Corey’s life, though that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Things with Leah Messer’s second marriage weren’t so perfect either. During the sixth season of Teen Mom 2, the Calverts displayed a lot of issues. The divorce was finale almost a year ago, and yet rumors seems to suggest that Messer is still pining over Jeremy Calvert. According to Radar Online, Leah Messer was heartbroken to learn Jeremy Calvert reunited with his ex-girlfriend, Brooke Wehr. It appeared like she wanted to reconcile with her ex-husband, especially since they had been spending a lot of time together. Their friendship works well, but romantically they are just not compatible. Messer and Calvert will remain friends and co-parent effectively for their daughter’s sake.
The last year has been a reality check for Leah Messer. While she completely denies ever using drugs or any other substances, speculation was that she was definitely doing something throughout season six of Teen Mom 2. From the scenes where she was spacing out and almost falling asleep to the inability to get the girls to school on time, something was off. As Messer’s marriage was failing, she checked out. With Corey Simms winning custody of the girls last October, something in Messer changed. It was the wake up call she needed to get her life back in order. While it was a long couple of months without the girls every single day, Messer was able to improve and work out an agreement with Simms for shared custody. A lot has changed in this story over the last several years, and fans are enjoying watching the evolution of their lives. Teen Mom 2 will be returning on March 21 with plenty of drama, but it seems Leah Messer will be laying low and doing what she needs to do without causing too much controversy this season.
