‘Life Is Strange’ One Of Xbox Live Deals With Gold Discounted Games This Week: Season 2 Already In Development

The list of this week’s discounted games via Microsoft Xbox Live Deals with Gold promo was released, and it includes Life Is Strange. The episodic video game is 50 percent cheaper until Monday, March 14, both for Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners who have Xbox Live Gold membership.

Below is the tweet from Larry Hyrb (aka Major Nelson) announcing the newest set of titles part of Deals with Gold promo.

Published by Square Enix, Life is Strange is an action-adventure video game, available in five episodes, that was released to “revolutionize story based choice and consequence games,” the official page for the game on Xbox Store reads. The game lets the players “rewind time and affect the past, present and future.”

The gameplay for the discounted Dontnod Entertainment title via Xbox Live Deals with Gold is further described on the page.

“You are Max, a photography senior who saves her old friend Chloe by discovering she can rewind time. The pair soon find themselves exposed to the darker side of Arcadia Bay as they uncover the disturbing truth behind the sudden disappearance of a fellow student. Meanwhile, Max begins to have premonitions as she struggles to understand the implications of her power. She must quickly learn that changing the past can sometimes to lead to a devastating future.”

Aside from the news about the game’s discounts through Deals with Gold promotion for Xbox Live Gold members, Life is Strange will reportedly have a Season 2. And not only that, it looks like Season 2 is currently in development. A previous report from GameSpot cited an interview with Dontnod co-founder Alain Damasio with a French publication called Alchimy. He confirmed that he will be part of Life is Strange Season 2 by contributing to the game’s script.

“I worked as a script doctor on ‘Life is Strange,’ developed by the studio Dontnod, and I will participate on Life is Strange 2 later,” according to Damasio.

Meanwhile, Life is Strange Limited Edition, which comes with a 32-page art book, the full soundtrack, and the game’s original score made by Jonathan Morali was launched last month. Check out the video below.

Going back to Microsoft’s Deals with Gold promo this week, Life is Strange Complete Season (Episodes 1-5) is also on sale for Xbox One users. The Season Pass, which will give players instant access to Episodes 2 to 5, are also half the price cheaper this week, available both as Xbox 360 and Xbox One deals.

Other Xbox One games on sale until Monday are Mad Max, Thief, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart, and more. Mad Max, available with 40 percent discount, is Avalanche Studios’ action-adventure open-world game that is based on film series of the same title. The game was published by Warner Bros.

Thief gets an enormous discount, as its Xbox 360 and Xbox One copies can now be purchased 75 percent lower than its regular value. Originally worth $29.99, Xbox Live Gold members can easily acquire a copy of the stealth video game for only $7.50, according to Xbox Marketplace.

Gamers will be able to access Jago, a playable character in Killer Instinct included in Combo Breaker and Ultra Edition, upon acquisition of this add-on. The official description from Xbox Store for Jago noted that he is struggling with the evil Tiger Spirit, thus, he aims to purify himself through battle.
