Yolanda Foster Lyme Disease: ‘RHOBH’ Star Is ‘Focused’ On Healing

Yolanda Foster has been sharing her Lyme disease struggles on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for years, but during Season 6, her frequent updates came back to bite her.

At the beginning of the season, during a cast dinner at Lisa Vanderpump’s home, Taylor Armstrong raised questions about Yolanda Foster’s illness, claiming her social media posts were inconsistent and confusing. Then, a few episodes later, Lisa Rinna revealed people around Los Angeles had come to her with allegations of Yolanda Foster possibly suffering from Munchausen syndrome, in which people fake illnesses to gain attention and sympathy from others.

As if the speculation surrounding her illness wasn’t enough for Yolanda Foster to be facing, all while battling for her health, she and her husband, David, parted ways at the end of last year amid filming on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6. Still, judging by Yolanda Foster’s social media updates, she’s staying positive in light of her recent challenges.

On March 7, Yolanda Foster posted a meme on Instagram.

“An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward,” the meme read. “When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it’s going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming.”

In the caption of the March 7 post, Yolanda Foster added, “Focussed………. #Healing.”

Yolanda Foster was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, just months after she and David Foster were married. And while the reality star likely planned to be an attentive wife, her dwindling health changed both her life and her relationship dramatically.

“At the end of the day, David never changed, I changed,” Yolanda Foster revealed during an episode of The Doctors, via Us Weekly. “Unfortunately, these are the cards that life dealt me. It wasn’t by choice. But I’m not the woman I used to be and I probably will never be again. My focus, my energy goes to trying to get well, trying to make a difference, trying to find a cure for my children … and David’s life is really traveling, going to concerts, loud music. And I mean, I couldn’t, I can barely listen to the radio.”

On March 6, Yolanda Foster seemed to hint at her first divorce from Mohamed Hadid. After revealing weeks ago that she would be taking Hadid’s last name yet again, Yolanda Foster took to Instagram, where she shared a message about pain.

“In the end, some of your greatest pain becomes your greatest strength,” Yolanda Foster wrote. “#NoteToSelf turned into #LastNameDebate.”

As fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will recall, Yolanda Foster’s first husband, Hadid, was accused of having an affair with Joanna Krupa, of The Real Housewives of Miami, years ago. While both Yolanda Foster and Hadid have remained silent regarding the issue, likely for the sake of their three children, Gigi, Bella and Anwar, Brandi Glanville claimed the affair happened during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live years ago.

Also during the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Yolanda Foster revealed two of her children, Bella and Anwar, have also been diagnosed with Lyme disease and have been fighting back against symptoms in secret for years.
