Britney Spears: Sexy New Costumes And Advice For Justin Bieber
Britney Spears has experienced great success with her Vegas “Piece of Me” show. The entertainer was met with such popularity the first time around that the residency on the strip was extended well into 2016. Spears knew a bit of a change-up of songs and choreography was needed to keep the show fresh and to bring back repeat audience members. Most recently, however, the change has extended to the wardrobe Brit and her dancers wear for the show.
The Daily Mail shares that the Princess of Pop has got some sexy new pieces to reveal in her “Piece of Me” show.
“The 34-year-old singer and her stylist, Soyon An have revamped her costumes for a ‘hotter, sexier’ look this time around. The pop diva decided to totally update her look and show off her impeccable figure. “
In an email to People magazine, Brit’s stylist Soyon An relays what fans and audience members can expect from the singer’s attire, noting what the costume revamp means for the appeal of the show.
“That means hotter, sexier costumes showing more leg, more midriff, more cleavage. The costumes on the new and improved show are the sexiest she’s worn. There is a lot more skin showing.”
The stylist to the Grammy award winner has also been behind the wardrobe in shows for stars such as Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, and Katy Perry.
Soyon went on to describe materials and details of the various costumes.
“We are also using more bodysuits than the previous iteration with a lot more stones and crystals. We wanted to create whole new worlds within the show for some of the new sections while giving new life to the sections that would remain intact from the previous version of the show. One of the updated costumes is a green camo bodysuit with matching cape she wears, entitled ‘Dark Angel.'”
The designer of the Dark Angel number, Nicolas Jebran, shared his inspiration behind the look and noted how perfect he felt the ensemble is for the star.
“Anything Britney wears looks amazing, so naturally it was easy to design with her inspirations and visions in mind.’Being as creative as she is, we went back and fourth and came up with a gorgeous military look that opens the show.”
In addition to this look, there is also a body-con ensemble with cutouts and a sheer cape that hits the floor from LaBourjoisie. Designers of this particular look also shared their excitement after working with the star.
“Working with Britney is like a dream. She is this generation’s pop icon.”
Spears’ stylist was sure to give credit to the designers who helped pull her vision for the show’s look together.
“[All] the designers did an incredible job of turning around from sketch to finish.”
Soyan An also shared about the speed necessary when getting Spears in and out of her outfits and on to the next look. Despite the intricate details and bondage-style outfits, each costume change happens in 20 seconds at the max.
The revamped show will run from June 17 to September 10.
There is no question that Brit has learned a lot over her decades in the music industry. It seems as though the songstress has risen back to the top of her game and has some advice to share with younger stars in the music industry, mainly Justin Bieber.
Spears spoke about the “Love Yourself” singer who has been under scrutiny lately. Metro relays the pop star’s words.
“Whoever is in the spotlight, people are really quick to judge. I mean, there are a lot of kids coming up who’ve experienced that. You know, Justin Bieber, he’s huge, and he experiences that. It’s just the way the world works, unfortunately. I’ve been doing this for 20 years. I kind of don’t pay attention to it. I have my relationship with God and myself and that’s what matters to me. I really don’t care what most people think.”
