Anne Hathaway Has Baby Shower, Gift Received May Be A Hint To The Baby’s Gender

Anne Hathaway is going to give birth soon, and while waiting for the arrival of her baby this spring, her manager honored the mom-to-be with a private baby shower held at a home in Los Angeles. On March 5, the Princess Diaries actress arrived at the venue sporting a casual loose top with leather pants.

Hathaway, 33, is expecting her first child with husband Adam Shulman, a jewelry designer. In January, Anne confirmed the news of her pregnancy through an Instagram photo in which she posed with her baby bump in a bikini, as The Inquisitr previously reported. She posted the photo when she saw paparazzi trying to take pictures of her at the beach. Though Anne is due soon, she has not divulged the gender of her baby.

According to a source who attended Anne Hathaway’s baby shower, the event was a “casual backyard luncheon” where everyone chatted and laughed the entire afternoon. “Many times there was giggling and clapping because all of the ladies were having so much fun,” the source said.

Among those present were Shulman, who arrived at around 3 p.m., and Anne’s family members. Of course, baby showers would not be complete without gifts. This is where the rumor of the baby’s gender started, as one of the gifts stood out among the rest.

According to Us Magazine, Camila Alves, Matthew McCounaughey’s wife, was also in attendance at the baby shower. She was photographed carrying a pink baby basket that stood out among the other presents that were mostly neutral in color, said a source. In addition, the gift basket also had the initial “G” on it. Could this be a hint of the gender and name of Anne Hathaway’s baby?

Other gifts Anne Hathaway received, according to the insider, include a bassinet, baby blankets, a rocking horse, and some items from Barneys and Trico Field.

Pregnancy, it seems, has not slowed Anne down one bit. A source told People that nothing has changed since she became pregnant. “Anne hasn’t really slowed down at all. She was always very active and likes to be out and about. Nothing seems to have changed after she got pregnant,” the source said.

After Anne’s baby shower, her husband helped her pack all the baby’s gifts as they headed out.

Anne has been open about wanting to be a mother for years. In an interview with Hollywood Reporter back in 2012, Anne said, “I’m the only one here who’s not a mother. I hope to join the ranks soon.”

Now, she is finally getting her wish. In that same interview, however, Anne also shared that she is worried about the paparazzi, especially when she becomes a mother. “I’m thinking about that because I really want to have a baby, and my husband and I are like, ‘Where are we gonna live?'”

With her statement, it can be assumed that Anne Hathaway will be protecting her baby from the paparazzi once she gives birth. However, there’s also a possibility that she will introduce her baby to the world on Instagram, just like what she did with her baby bump.

Both Shulman and Hathaway are excited for the arrival of their baby. According to a source, Anne’s husband is helping her out with shopping for baby items, and they have also been ordering lots of baby stuff online.

“They are as happy as clams,” the source said.
