Jodie Sweetin’s Fans Slam Miley Cyrus: How Does She Really Feel?

Jodie Sweetin’s fans are not too crazy about what Miley Cyrus posted on Instagram over the weekend. The controversial singer posted a racy photo of the Fuller House star as a joke, but no one’s finding it funny.

It all started when Miley Cyrus decided to be cute and shared a scandalous throwback photo of Jodie Sweetin. On Saturday, March 5, Cyrus posted two side-by-side photos of Jodie Sweetin smoking a cigarette and straddling her ex-husband Cody Herpin while showing off her behind. Cyrus jokingly wrote in the caption, “Current mood. #FullerHouse”

The reason why posting the photo was insensitive was because it’s well known that Sweetin was addicted to drugs several years after Full House ended. She is now five years sober and credits her daughter, along with Fuller House, for her sobriety. In her 2009 bio, UnSweetined, she was candid about her road to recovery.

“I was selfish, self-serving, insecure, angry and fearful person living a double life. I covered up my problems by pretending to be happy and saying that everything was fine. It’s a story with a message of second chances and turning things around and being able to overcome some adversity.”

The 34-year-old also admitted that she was spending $10,000 on meth and cocaine with the residuals she received from Full House. Sweetin is desperately trying to move past that difficult part in her life. She is now engaged to her fiancé Justin Hodak and she’s making a big comeback on the Netflix series, along with her appearance on Season 22 of Dancing With the Stars.

In her candid interview with Complex magazine, Sweetin revealed that she would like to take on darker and edgier roles, and that she would also like to direct and produce her own TV show.

Of course, Sweetin’s fans weren’t happy with Cyrus’ insensitive post. They took to Cyrus’ Instagram page to give the pop star a piece of their minds.

“You know this would get headlines and she’s a mother. Just wants to humiliate someone,” one fan wrote.

“Hard time in her life and you feel the need to just throw it out there again. Someone’s not getting enough attention obviously. Might be time to grow up,” another one added.

“Not really funny…she was a drug addict and in a really bad place. she turned her life around and is well now. No need for you to bring this back…” a third fan added.

Miley Cyrus has not yet deleted the photo from her Instagram page. Nor has she apologized for posting the photo of Sweetin in the first place. So, does Cyrus feel bad for posting that insensitive photo of Sweetin? An insider revealed to the Hollywood Life that Cyrus was really poking fun at Sweetin’s character Stephanie Tanner.

“She didn’t feel it was inappropriate. She actually felt that Jodie was showing off her sexier side in the pics being normally so wholesome in the show. There was no malice behind it, nor does she want to create a feud. She would never poke fun at someone’s addiction problems or substance abuse.”

Jodie Sweetin has not responded to Miley Cyrus’ Instagram post. Instead, she’s been busy practicing for DWTS with her dance partner Keo Motsepe. On that same day, she took to her own Instagram page to share a smoking hot photo of herself with the professional dancer. Sweetin is back and looking better than ever.
