‘Charmed’ Reboot Not What Fans Want, Alyssa Milano Reveals Old Cast Not Involved
Charmed fans have been hoping for a reboot now that a lot of shows are getting the green light to come back again. With the return of Full House and talk about other shows, fans are really hopeful that Charmed will return again. There has been a lot of talk about it over the years, and bringing back old favorites seems to be the new trend. Now, Alyssa Milano is confirming that the show could be coming back; but, it is not in the way that fans have been hoping for and she isn’t going be involved in it. It doesn’t sound like this was her choice, either. TV Line is now sharing the details of the Charmed reboot and how it will actually be doing down.
It is almost the 10th anniversary of Charmed, which would be the perfect time for this show to come back again. Alyssa Milano, who played Phoebe Halliwell, said, “It seems like [a cast reunion] going to happen any second. I just feel like with all these [TV] reunions… someone’s going to put that together at some point. And we’re all totally on board for that!” This gave fans hope that Charmed would be coming back again, especially knowing that Alyssa was game for it and wanted in. Shannon Doherty even shared that she would be on board for a reboot, but it turned out Charmed won’t be coming back the way that fans hoped it would.

The news is out that Charmed is getting a reboot, but it won’t be with the original cast. This is not what the fans of Charmed have wanted at all and many are disappointed. Alyssa Milano has gone to Twitter to share the details with her fans about Charmed.
“#Charmed fans! Nothing has been confirmed. CBS is developing a reboot without the original cast. That’s all I know for sure. With all the reunion shows it seems like #charmed would be a great choice since we have the most loyal and best fans ever. But… (Cont.) I would imagine until CBS makes a decision on their reboot a true reunion type of show will not be happening due to CBS owning the rights.”
This news has Charmed fans upset, considering they have had high hopes for at least a reunion show. Now it sounds like everything is on hold until Charmed comes out with the new cast. They might ask some of the original Charmed cast to show up from time to time, but for now it doesn’t look like they will be involved at all with Charmed.
But, fans want a Charmed reunion so badly that they have set up a Facebook fan page that has over 24,000 likes on it. They are constantly posting about how they want the show to return and any updates about it. This is a great way to keep up on anything going on with Charmed. For now, though, Charmed fans are just going to have to keep dreaming about the show. There is not really any information out yet about how the Charmed reboot will work or who will even be cast on the new show. It is going to be hard to compare to the original Charmed.
