Zayn Malik Releases Track List: Too Many Perrie Edwards References?

Zayn Malik has just posted a lineup of tracks for his forthcoming album, Mind of Mine. The singer posted a shot of the list of songs with the caption that mentioned a date: 25.3.2016, which is probably the release date of the album.

However, there are several tracks that seem like they may be about his ex, Perrie Edwards. Zayn has already made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where he unveiled the track, “It’s You”.

Zayn has already said that the single was a reference to the times he spent with his ex, the Daily Mail has reported.

It looks like the former One Direction star considers it more of a therapy than anything else. When he was asked about revealing his private life in his music, he said that “There’s always a fine line with that. I just felt like I needed to put myself out there a bit on that because it was a form of therapy for me, and it did help me get through some s**t”.

“So if it can help someone else at that time, then that’s cool,” he goes on to say.

It seems like there is a bunch of other songs that may be about his relationship with the Little Mix singer. “She” and “She Don’t Love Me” are tracks that fans would particularly pay attention to if they need a sneak peek into Zayn’s relationship with the Little Mix singer. Not to say that other tracks may not have glimpses of his relationships, but these ones particularly have an intriguing title.

A performance of “It’s You” was examined by the Daily Star, who said Zayn has certainly not held back when it comes to references about his love life. The way the song “It’s You” goes, it’s clear what he thinks about his relationship with her.

“She got her own reason for talking to me,” he says, in the song. However, he goes on to slam her in the next line.

“She don’t give a f*** about what I need.”

He then goes on to rip her apart even further.

“Tell me your lies because I just can’t face it.”

And then he questions.

“Could it be that it’s a lesson that I never had to learn? I looked at it like a blessing and now it’s just a curse.”

Reading the lyrics of just one song gives a pretty great idea about what lies ahead for the fans in this album. It remains to be seen what skeletons come springing out of the cupboard after the album is released and the lyrics of the songs are available to the fans.

Although Zayn Malik is currently dating supermodel Gigi Hadid, the rumors connecting him to his ex do not fade away. Recently, Perrie Edwards had posted an Instagram picture that showed her wearing a retro dress. The picture was captioned: “If I could go back in time.”

So, do Zayn’s lyrics really impact the Little Mix singer? Doesn’t look like it. Her friends say that if Zayn had performed “It’s You” a bit earlier, it would have been a bit hard to handle, but not anymore.

If I could go back in time...

“If she heard the song a few months ago she would have had more of an emotional reaction to it, but her tears about the breakup are not there anymore. She has moved on,” a source tells Hollywood Life. The source goes on to say that Perrie is interested in hearing his songs, but does not really care anymore.

“Sure she is interested in hearing the words about her but she is in a good place right now and can hear them with an open heart and an open mind. If these tracks help him get over the relationship then she is happy because she is now over it herself.”

It looks like Perrie Edwards has certainly moved on from Zayn Malik and will not be affected by the album anymore.
