Erika Girardi Confuses Her Alter Ego With Herself: Could ‘RHOBH’ Star Really Be Both Personalities?

Erika Girardi introduced her alter ego, Erika Jayne, to the world when she performed on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills earlier this season. All of the housewives loved seeing her perform, and she has often said that everyone probably has a little bit of Erika Jayne in them. On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, fans have seen more of Jayne than Girardi, as she has kept her lavish lifestyle and her marriage to high-powered lawyer Tom Girardi away from the show for the most part. But now, Erika admits that it can be tough to keep her personalities apart.

According to a new Bravo report, Erika Girardi recently did an interview with NYLON magazine, and here, she confused her two personalities. Girardi was asked about her hair preferences for each of her alter egos and here, she got them messed up. It proves that it’s tough to be Erika.

“Erika Jayne likes her hair straight without a lot of product with a really good natural blow-dry, wait-did I say Erika Girardi? I’m sorry; Erika Girardi likes her hair straight with a lot of product, just a really good blow-dry. Erika Jayne likes her hair ropey with a lot of product, really rock star and wild.”

Erika Girardi created her alter ego back when she started recording music. Maybe she felt that the Girardi name simply wasn’t suitable for the music she wanted to record, so an alter ego where she could be herself and be crazy would be better for her music. She released her first album in 2007 called Rollercoaster.

“As human begins, we all have layers to ourselves, you know?” Erika Girardi said, adding, “When I say there’s a little bit of Erika Jayne in everybody, what I mean by that is: No one is one way all the time. No one is buttoned up all the time and no one is wild all the time. There are different parts to your personality, different layers—and that’s really what Erika Jayne is, another layer to a human being.”

And while some people may be confused in regards to Erika’s two personalities, she reveals that Girardi and Jayne actually give one another strength. She doesn’t separate them so much, as she does take qualities from each alter ego, and Girardi admits that being a sexy version of herself is a confidence boost for her.

“I think they empower each other,” she told NYLON, adding, “Being able to express yourself under the name Erika Jayne and saying things people want to say but wouldn’t, or doing things that people want to do but don’t, or taking that extra leap of faith or pushing the levels of sexuality, or whatever, that helps Erika Girardi stand on her own two feet and be calm and peaceful. There’s nothing undone or unspoken, or nothing unsaid.”

Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have seen Erika Girardi practice her alter ego, and they have seen her talk about Jayne, especially when it comes to the jewelry she wears and how she reacts when her co-stars don’t enjoy her clothing. Bethenny Frankel and Eileen Davidson have both expressed a dislike for Girardi’s music videos and her clothing choices, but Girardi doesn’t seem to care what they think. She’s proud of her work, and she will continue to show off her talents. And as fans saw, she’s loved by the gay community, so why not continue to be Erika Jayne?

And while Jayne is celebrating a successful music career, Girardi is dealing with drama on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Girardi recently confronted Kathryn Edwards for sharing information that she thought she had told her in confidence, according to the Daily Mail.
