Cloud Atlas Trailer: Tom Hanks, Halle Berry Star In New Wachowski Brothers Film [Video]

The Wachowski Brothers don’t like doing small movies (they’re the team behind The Matrix trilogy and V for Vandetta) but their latest outing, Cloud Atlas, could be their most ambitious project yet.

The movie, which stars Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, tells six interconnected tails that span across several centuries.

IMDB summarizes the movie, saying:

“An exploration of how the actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution.”

The new movie will hit theaters this October but fans can get a pretty good glimpse into the film today. The Wachowski Brothers just released a 5-minute trailer for Cloud Atlas.

The Cloud Atlas trailer gives a glimpse at how the Wachowski brothers were able to bring David Mitchell’s best-selling novel to life. The trailer shows a south pacific sea voyage in the 19th century, a post-apocalyptic world in the 1970s, futuristic planes and Tom Hanks as a Hawaiian tribesmen.

In addition to Hanks and Halle Berry, the movie also stars Matrix alum Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Susan Sarandon, and Hugh Grant.
