‘The 100’ Season 3, Episode 8: Is Pike A Bigger Threat? Crimes Against Leadership Teased In ‘Terms And Conditions’

The last episode of The 100 delivered a shock to fans, in particular to “Clexa” shippers (Warning: Spoilers ahead). How will Clarke deal with losing Lexa? How will the clan commander’s death affect future episodes of the CW show? So far, the previews for the next episode of The 100 don’t show Clarke at all. As for the other characters, viewers will wonder if the biggest threat is inside the walls or outside. Also, The 100 Season 3, Episode 8 extended promo teases crimes against leadership and Kane gets violent with Pike.

According to Spoilers Guide, the synopsis for The 100 Season 3, Episode 8 reveals that Pike suspects Arkadia has a leak. He is right about that assumption, but it’s not as sinister as he believes. As viewers saw in the past few episodes, there is a passageway Clarke and Octavia used to go between Arkadia and beyond the walls. However, Pike has declared war on the Grounders. He doesn’t care the reason, just the possibility that there is a leak will probably lead Pike to make some drastic moves.

The synopsis also states that Raven will go to Jasper for help. As for Kane, his peaceful approach isn’t working. The “Terms and Conditions” press release for The 100 Season 3, Episode 8 from Spoiler TV teases that Kane will go to extremes to deal with things.

In the promo for The 100 Season 3, Episode 8, Bellamy says that there is a threat outside Arkadia’s walls. However, Kane tells Bellamy that the threat is actually inside — obviously referring to Pike.

The “Terms and Conditions” promo also reveals that Pike will put the Sky People at odds. Besides making some extreme decisions in his anti-Grounder quest, Pike thinks there is a traitor. As mentioned above, nobody is trying to cause Arkadia harm. Clarke and Octavia had very good reasons for sneaking back and forth. However, Pike views his anti-Grounder mission as a war. In his mind, anyone who does not blindly follow his orders is a traitor, a spy, or even an enemy.

In the clip for The 100 Season 3, Episode 8, it seems that Clarke might have been right. Last week, Clarke wanted Lexa to give the Sky People a chance to make a different choice. She knew that Pike would go too far and the people who voted him as Chancellor could end up turning against the leader. It seems this is hinted in the promo for “Terms and Conditions.” Not only is there a lot of fighting behind Arkadia’s walls, but Kane punches Pike in the face.

Even if the Sky People get rid of Pike on The 100, or manage to contain him, the damage has already been done. Several members of the Grounder’s army have been murdered and the clan wants justice. They are not going to sit by and let the Grounder massacre go unpunished. The question is: what are they going to do? Try to fix things? Try to reason with the Grounders? Turn over Pike — the person ultimately responsible for the massacre — in order to save themselves? Or will they be forced to put their own lives at risk in a battle they haven’t really signed up for?

There is also the question of how Octavia and Bellamy will heal their relationship, if they are able to heal at all. Many fans are also concerned about Lincoln. There are rumors that he may die on The 100. If this happens, will Octavia completely lose control?

What do you think will happen with Pike, Bellamy, Kane and the Grounders on the next episode of The 100? How will Lexa’s death change Clarke and what does it mean for the future?

The 100 Season 3, Episode 8, titled “Terms and Conditions” airs March 10 on the CW network.
