Tory Lanez Concert: Perfection Is His Standard, Says Toronto Artist

Tory Lanez’s concert process is rigorous. However, it’s by his own standard. During a recent interview, Tory Lanez gave a reason behind his self-perfection.

Tory Lanez’s claims his music is the sound of “new Toronto.” If you’ve heard any of Lanez’s songs or have seen feedback from his listeners, you’ll know that Tory’s already an affluent artist in the hip-hop community.

As far as Tory Lanez’s concerts, they’re usually electric. But, maybe that’s because of his pre-stage “ritual” and expectations. In an interview with Power 106 – Los Angeles, Tory Lanez was asked to elaborate on his perfection process.

Before Tory hits the stage, as he mentions, “I just pray to God, and make sure I’m good with God. And, [in] whatever I do, it’s the message that He wants me to bring out there.”

Different artists have different procedures that get them ready for the stage. Some people drink and smoke. However, do everything in moderation, right?

“I don’t be drinking or anything like that. I might smoke, but I don’t drink before my sets, because I don’t want to be sloppy on stage,” said Tory Lanez.

Tory Lanez continues his interview by elaborating his perfectionist views when involving his craft. Likewise, Tory believes that setting a standard of excellence from the start is key to musical success — or success in general. As mentioned in the interview, Tory Lanez’s music is a gift to his listeners. So, why not give the people excellence? It seems that Lanez has his fans’ interests at heart.

“At the end of the day — if you’re an act that still sells tickets to this day — that [excellence] is the most important thing of an artist’s career,” said Tory.

Moreover, Lanez feels that the ability to sell your single is one thing. However, selling tickets is another playing field. According to Tory Lanez, that’s where the rubber meets the road. He states as follows.

“It’s not the fact that your single can sell. It’s the fact that you can sell hard tickets. People will spend money to see you. That’s why, to this day, K.I.S.S. can sell out wherever they go…because they sell tickets, and they have that core fan base.

You may not hear K.I.S.S. on the radio with a new single, today. And they can still sell out anywhere.”

Tory Lanez agrees further that bands with that type of influence stick around, affecting generations upon generations with music that’s decades old. Since one generation introduces the band’s music to the next, Lanez feels that ticket sells are easy at that point. When you’re at that musical level and pinnacle, people already know what to expect from your shows and don’t mind spending the price to attend.

Speaking of shows, Tory Lanez recently announced his European tour via Instagram. It’s a 12-day, nine-city tour that starts in London, United Kingdom. The Inquisitr previously reported on it.
