The 60-year-old matriarch to the Kardashian-Jenner household flatly denies knowing about Caitlyn’s desires to live as a woman when the two met. Kris now claims that it wasn’t until Cait’s groundbreaking interview with Vanity Fair, during which she revealed her new appearance, that she knew. This denial follows an earlier confession by Kris that she did know. So what is the true story?

In the clip of the conversation, which turns into an argument, Caitlyn becomes annoyed at Kris for denying that she had prior knowledge about her intended transition until the Vanity Fair interview. Caitlyn replied to Kris’ denial, noting that she made Kris aware long before her transition.

“Oh I did too [tell you]!”

Kris went on to clarify her meaning when she stated that she did not know about the transgender journey her former husband was intending to take.

“I didn’t know until all of this, I couldn’t have given you that definition of transgender! When I met Bruce he told me that he had done hormones back in the early 80s. This was a conversation that took place in the early 90s,’ the In the Kitchen with Kris author told Buzz Bissinger. So, what he was telling me happened a decade earlier, and he never really explained it…there wasn’t a gender issue. Nobody mentioned a gender issue. Somebody mentioned that [he] at one point in his life liked to dress up.”

Caitlyn, who admits to having a “good solid B cup” in 1991, divorced Kris on March 23 of last year after 23 years of marriage and raising their two daughters Kendall 19, and Kylie, 18.

Following the disagreement between the two, Kris makes note of her appreciation for the friends of the Olympic gold medalist and raises her glass in a toast to them, but not to Caitlyn.

“You’ve all gotten a major 10 from me! Not you Jenner. Just your friends.”

Caitlyn gets in on the toast and confirms she feels the same about her friends.

“I agree! I agree!”

Caitlyn also shares her joy over her new License picture, relaying the feeling that she’s thrown the “old Bruce out the door.” The new Mac cosmetics spokesperson then enjoys her time with her daughters, including Kim and Khloe, along with Kylie and Kendall.

As the Daily Mail shares, Caitlyn is also keeping busy as a volunteer and becoming the “trans ambassador” for Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz. While doing so, Caitlyn is able to excitedly meet the Democratic presidential hopeful Hilary Clinton.

The second season of I Am Cait is set to premiere on Sunday on the E! network. The first season of the show, which follows the life of Caitlyn as she navigates the new waters living life as a woman, was an initial hit. Yet, ratings slid as the season went on. As the Verge shares, the second season “gets down to the business of advocacy” and perhaps will draw more interest of a larger audience.

Hopefully, the show continues to be a success and one that can be relevant to those experiencing a similar situation, as well as help to educate those who are unaware of the difficulties and triumphs that involve living as a transgender person.

The remainder of the Kardashian-Jenner clan will likely make appearances throughout the season of Cait’s show and will also continue to star in the hit reality show they are all so well known for Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
