Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin Not Divorced: ‘Goop’ Founder Gets Serious With Brad Falchuk
Even though Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin consciously uncoupled back in 2014, the legal process of the divorce is still ongoing.
Paltrow filed for divorce on April 20, 2015. Martin was then served with legal papers on May 18 and has yet to sign them. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the Coldplay front man has yet to answer to her request for a divorce.
A judge has reached out to both Gwyneth and Chris, and now the actress may be eligible for a default judgement, which means she’s entitled to everything she asked for in her original petition that was filed without a lawyer. Gwyneth reportedly wants custody of their two children, Apple, 11, and Moses, 9.
Martin has 60 days to respond to Paltrow’s petition. Whether he does or not, the courts still can finalize the divorce, but their settlement and custody arrangement won’t be handled in court, and will be handled by the ex-couple’s team of business managers and lawyers.
The actress has addressed the term “conscious uncoupling” yet again. Whether she’s promoting her skincare line, her lifestyle website, or her diet, it seems like Gwyneth is always asked about her split. The Goop founder told Matt Lauer on the Today show Friday that she’s good friends with Chris, and that they’ve been successful at co-parenting their kids.
“We’re a family. Even though we’re not in a romantic relationship, we’re a true family and we like to do things to reinforce that we’re a family for the children and for each other.”
She added, “He’s like my brother. I’m very close to him.”
The blonde actress has also been getting close to her new boyfriend Brad Falchuk. Paltrow recently threw him a romantic 45th birthday party, according to a report published on People. She threw him a lavish party at her favorite restaurant, Tempura Endo, an alleged source told the publication.
“Gwyneth had a girls’ night at the restaurant earlier this year and loved it. She booked a private table for a few friends to celebrate Brad’s birthday. It was just a small, casual celebration.”
During their dinner, the 43-year-old was spotted wearing a black blouse, an olive green skirt, and black canvas slip-on shoes. The American Horror Story producer was photographed wearing a brown blazer paired with a light blue shirt and khaki pants.
The couple is so serious about each other that they’ve been talking about marriage. Back in February, sources revealed to Radar Online that Falchuk is reportedly planning to pop the question to Paltrow.
“Brad and Gwyneth have been talking about [an] engagement for some time now. Gwyneth is finally in a place with her ex-husband that she has let go. She is finally ready to remarry. Brad knows in his heart that she is in love with him alone. He is absolutely in love with her.”
The actress is so happy these days that she’s crediting sex — not her diet — for her confident and youthful glow. Talking to People about her new skincare line, Paltrow says that she’s feeling a lot more confident and secure in her skin these days.
“I think it’s really important to be happy, and I think women get happy by being authentic. But I also believe in exercise, eating well, drinking lots of water, sex, sleeping and being around people who make you feel good. And I think glow that you get in life comes from a combination of all those things.”
If recent photos reveal anything, it’s obvious that Gwyneth Paltrow is very happy with her current boyfriend. The couple have been linked ever since she split from her husband.
