Hulk Hogan Sex Tape Making Jury Very Uncomfortable, WWE Legend Going To Trial

A Hulk Hogan sex tape was not something that any of us thought about when we were growing up as kids and watching the man in yellow and red taking all comers in WWE. Yet here we are in 2016, and there’s one in existence. With social media being so widespread, it’s hard for any Hogan fan to not know about it. Even worse, there are a handful of people who are being required to watch the entire footage, and it’s making them uncomfortable, according to People magazine.

For this $100 million civil lawsuit against Gawker, Hulk Hogan has enlisted the aid of David Houston. There’s a ton of money involved, so the wise move for the former WWE Heavyweight Champion was to acquire the services of one of the best lawyers in the country. Houston informed People that there were quite a bit of people from the jury pool who definitely did not want to be a part of the trial because they did not want to watch the entire Hulk Hogan sex tape.

Three potential jury members informed the courts that watching the Hulk Hogan sex tape would go against their religious beliefs. A potential female jury member even told the judge that doing so would violate her relationship with Jesus Christ. While it’s true that many people have a tendency to want to avoid being on a jury, there are also those that truly believe that their religion would frown upon their involvement.

Back during the 1980s, Hulk Hogan and his character would preach to young wrestling fans that they should say their prayers every night. He also instructed them to take their vitamins and be true to themselves. A big reason why he found so much success for WWE was because the character was wholesome. Hogan was a role model for millions of kids, and that generated a ton of money for himself and Vince McMahon.

That was Hulk Hogan the character. Hulk Hogan the person, though, is very much a regular human being. He has wants and needs. He makes mistakes. That’s exactly what the Gawker legal team is hoping to convince the jury. Their defense is that the company was allowed to publish footage from the Hulk Hogan sex tape because he has openly and candidly talked about his sex life during various public interviews over the years.

The Gawker legal team might also try to sway the jury by reminding them of whom Hulk Hogan was fornicating with in the sex tape. Her name is Heather Clem, who happens to be 21 years younger than Hogan. Clem was married to Bubba the Love Sponge, a man who was very close to the Hulkster at one point in time. They were best of friends and were routinely spotted hanging out together in various cities.

For Hulk Hogan, a victory here is very much needed. Financially, he’s been taking quite a bit of losses over the years. Hogan lost more than half of everything that he owned when he and Linda Hogan had their very public and very messy divorce. Much of that fortune was what he amassed from being the most famous professional wrestler in the world. Hogan also lost out on some money recently when he made controversial comments about African Americans, which quickly prompted Vince McMahon to abolish Hogan from anything related to WWE.

Jury members might be uncomfortable watching the Hulk Hogan sex tape, but they also acknowledged that their civil duties come first. Hulk Hogan has to hope that a couple of those jury members have fond memories that will sway their decisions.
