Is Harry Styles Scoping Out Wedding Venues?

Harry Styles has got tongues wagging again. The One Direction star, who is currently on hiatus along with his band mates, has been spotted at a wedding venue near the Styles family home in Cheshire, according to The Mirror.

Styles, who turned 22 last month, went to the Rose ‘N Crown public house in the celebrity-laden town of Knutsford, not far from Holmes Chapel where Harry was brought up. Although it seems Harry was just out for a pub lunch with friends, photos of him posted to Twitter by wedding venue The Belle Epoque, which is next door to the pub, sent social media into meltdown.

Of course the Rose ‘N Crown Twitter account joined in mentioning Harry, not surprising as both it and The Belle Epoque are owned by the same person.

Fans latched onto The Belle Epoque hosting weddings, together with Harry Styles’ presence, and the floodgates opened.

Other fans were quick to quell the Styles “wedding” rumors.

Local newspaper, The Knutsford Guardian, interviewed the owner of both establishments, named only as Matthew, who was undoubtedly thrilled at the publicity caused by a Harry Styles visit.

“Harry was an absolute gentleman not only to our staff but also with fellow diners, and it was a real pleasure to have him here at The Rose n Crown.”

This isn’t the first time Harry has sparked wedding rumors; he visited Kenwood House in London’s Hampstead Heath in January. The former stately home is a favorite location for upscale weddings, perfectly fitting for Harry, according to some fans.

However, as Kenwood House also contains a rather impressive art gallery, Harry could have just been there for the paintings.

The One Direction hiatus is in full flow, but the boys are rarely out of the headlines. There is news almost daily about Louis Tomlinson’s custody battle in Los Angeles, and Liam Payne’s rumored romance with The X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. Even Niall Horan, who told Digital Spy that he is “planning on not doing much at all…just sitting around, doing a bit of travelling,” gets spotted every now and then and the subsequent fan selfies fly all over social media.

Harry has kept out of the limelight for the most part, even missing the BRITSs award show on February 25. He did, however, send his thanks to fans after One Direction won Best British Video for “Drag Me Down.” The award was collected by Payne and Tomlinson, although Harry had recently returned to the U.K. after a spell in Los Angeles.

Rumors about his love life have followed Harry since One Direction was formed on The X Factor in 2010, when Styles was only 16, and the eldest of the group, Louis, was 18. The young group of lads quickly got a supportive (and sometimes invasive) following of fans on social media who have followed the boys’ relationships for the past six years.

Considering that Styles has supposedly had a string of casual flings since the age of 16, Harry certainly writes some heartfelt lyrics. Some of the best One Direction songs about love, commitment, and longing have been penned by Harry. These include the fan favorite “If I Could Fly” from the band’s fifth album Made In The AM which contains the profoundly romantic line “I think I might give up everything, just ask me to.” These words could definitely come from someone who has marriage on his mind, although who Harry’s lucky “spouse” might be is up for debate.

There is no evidence that One Direction are breaking up or that the hiatus is anything other than a well-deserved break, but rumors to the contrary persist and help to keep a lot of 1D’ers in a state of perpetual anxiety. Styles’ wedding rumors might just be a harmless diversion until Harry and One Direction officially return.
