Joey Feek is said to be in her final days after falling into a deep sleep. Joey’s husband, Rory Feek, has been taking things one day at a time, doing his best to spend time with the couple’s daughter, Indiana. Fans of the country stars have been glued to Facebook, waiting for any kind of an update, and today, they got one. However, this update was not about Joey Feek — it was about Indiana, 2.

Joey Feek said her goodbyes to Indiana days ago. According to Extra, the emotional moment occurred before Joey took what appears to be a turn for the worse.

“I set our little Indy on Joey’s lap and we all cried with my wife as she told her how much her mama loved her and, ‘…you be a big girl for your papa… and that mama will be watching over you.’ And then she pulled Indiana up and she kissed her. One last kiss,” Rory Feek said of the heartbreaking goodbye.

Mr. Feek has been keeping fans up-to-date on his wife’s condition and what has been going on over the past several months. While Joey Feek seemed to have an incredible will to fight this battle, the disease appears to be in control now. As fans wait for the message that Joey has passed, they have left some uplifting and powerful messages for the family on social media. Joey Feek only has a few more days to live, according to CNN. She is currently on hospice care and is believed to be resting comfortably. Rory shared a photo that was taken last night as his adult daughter, Heidi, spent some time by Joey’s side (Rory also has a daughter named Hopie who is also close to Joey). It is undoubtedly a very emotional time for the Feek family.

Joey Feek, 40, was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2014, a couple of months after Indiana was born. Thousands of people around the globe have been touched by this incredible story of love, family, and faith. The messages of heartbreak mixed with strength have been flowing in for months. The outpouring of support has been nothing short of incredible.

Rory Feek posted the following in his most recent blog posted on Monday.

“Joey has done all she set out to do… even right to the very end, and by sheer will-power (and God’s grace), she was still here to to see our baby’s 2nd birthday. Over the last number of weeks her pain had gotten worse and her health had continued to decline rapidly. And not long after Indy’s birthday my wife decided that ‘enough is enough’. She was ready to stop fighting and she told me so. She said the flowers would soon be blooming back in Tennessee. It’s time to go home.”
