‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’: Inside The Explosive Season 8 Reunion

The stars of The Real Housewives of Atlanta recently gathered to film this season’s highly anticipated reunion special. Along with showing up in style, the ladies brought plenty of drama as the series wraps its eighth season. From Kenya Moore accusing Kim Fields of being married to a gay man to a cameo appearance by NeNe Leakes, here’s everything to know about the upcoming reunion.

According to Radar Online, things heated up when Moore brought up the idea that Field’s husband is actually gay. Producers expected the two ladies to fight during the reunion and attempted to prevent things from escalating before filming started.

An inside source explained to the outlet that Moore and Fields occupied “separate dressing rooms on opposite sides,” and that “there was extra security to keep things in order.”

When filming for reunion began, the drama between the ladies really started to heat up. The beef between the women centers on the reports that Fields husband is gay. For her part, Fields held Moore responsible for these accusations and didn’t hold back her emotions.

“[Fields] tore into Kenya for bringing up rumors Christian [Morgan] is gay. They have a family, and Kenya’s words have done a lot of damage,” the insider shared.

The source added that Fields doesn’t believe her fellow co-stars are truly concerned about her husband’s sexual preferences.

“She said she didn’t think the cast really cared either way if her husband were gay or whether or not they were having tax problems or any other kind of problems.”

Exactly how the confrontation between Moore and Fields ends up is unknown. Considering how epic their feud has become this season, fans are definitely in for a drama-filled reunion.

Meanwhile, Enstarz is reporting that the reunion also touches on Phaedra Parks and her family drama this season. This includes the reality star visiting the father of her children in prison. Her husband was sentenced to eight years at Fort Dixon for fraud and identity theft.

“[The prison visit] was the last thing [Parks] wanted to do with the boys,” the insider stated. “Phaedra wants the boys to have a relationship with their father, but going to the prison was more than she could handle. Ayden is asking when they can go back to see Apollo.”

At the same time, WetPaint is reporting that NeNe Leakes made a short appearance during the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion. Despite showing up at the last minute, Leakes held true to her diva personality and brought along her own team for hair and makeup.

“[Leakes] was there for the reunion, but her involvement was uncertain until the last minute,” the source explained. “[She] brought her own hair and make-up team. Bravo had to pay for it all.”

Speaking of Leakes, Fields recently took to Instagram and posted a picture of her and Leakes at the reunion special.

“With #RHOA #NeNeLeakes!” she wrote alongside the image.

Along with a special appearance from Leakes, the reunion also marks a first for Sheree. In speaking to OK! Magazine, Sheree admitted that she wants to stay classy during the reunion no matter how much the drama escalates. Based on the reports, Sheree is going to witness more drama during the reunion than ever before.

“For me, I’m focused on staying classy and just having some shady fun times. We all know The Real Housewives of Atlanta ladies reign supreme when it comes to reunions,” she explained.

The three-part reunion special for The Real Housewives of Atlanta is set to air later this year. In the meantime, fans can watch episodes of the reality series Sunday nights on Bravo.
