‘Destiny’: Xur’s Exotic Goods For March 4, Hawkmoon And Graviton Forfeit Appear

Destiny players who missed out on some of the Exotic pieces sold by Xûr, Agent of the Nine, at the end of 2015 finally get their chance. The mysterious vendor dropped into the Tower yet again to give PlayStation and Xbox players a chance to purchase pieces such as Hawkmoon and Graviton Forfeit.

Xûr can be found just outside of the Speaker’s building next to the railing overlooking the city this weekend. Turn left as soon as you spawn in the Tower and run straight to the north part of the social space. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.

Hawkmoon

Hawkmoon is still a potent Exotic weapon despite the numerous rounds of nerfs to Hand Cannons. “Luck in the Chamber” combined with “Holding Aces” gives the possibility of up to three bullets from a single magazine producing a sizable damage output. This makes the already high impact Hand Cannon particularly useful in Crucible.

MK. 44 Stand Asides

The MK. 44 Stand Asides serve a very niche role for those that enjoy using the Striker Titan sub-class’ Shoulder Charge ability. The “Be Somewhere Else” innate perk grants a longer duration for when the Shoulder Charge can be activated and gives a tighter turn radius while sprinting. This is best used in Destiny‘s Crucible against other players. Even then, there are other Exotic armor pieces likely to be favored.

The optional perks for MK. 44 Stand Asides provide the choice between carrying more Sidearm Ammo or more Rocket Launcher ammo. The 62 Intellect/58 Strength split stat is excellent for these boots so there’s really not much reason to re-roll using Glass Needles unless you prefer ammo for different weapons.

Graviton Forfeit

This Exotic helmet is geared toward Nightstalker Hunters by granting the Shadestep ability for free via the “Elusive Shadow” perk. This frees up the final column in the Nightstalker skill tree to choose between “Keen Scout” and “Predator.”

The optional perks include “Ashes to Assets” for bonus Super energy from grenade kills and “Heavy Lifting” for bonus Super energy from Heavy Weapon kills. “Innervation” is the final column perk with bonus grenade energy from picking up Orbs of Light.

This is a solid pickup for PVE and PVP encounters and the pure 74 Intellect roll is welcome. However, Destiny players should consider re-rolling to obtain either “Better Already” or “Infusion” as the final column perk and “Inverse Shadow” in the third column.

Nothing Manacles

Destiny Warlocks who love to run Voidwalker will love the Nothing Manacles. These Exotic Gauntlets grant an extra grenade charge and give a boost to Scatter Grenades. The tracking ability of Scatter Grenades was tempered some with the 2.1 update, but it is still excellent for crowd control or area denial in PVE and PVP activities.

The 69 Discipline roll fits in exactly with what this Exotic piece is best at in Destiny, grenades. The optional perks of “Energy Project” and “Momentum Transfer” are fine while the only reason to re-roll is if you don’t like the “Pulse Rifle Loader” and “Sniper Rifle Loader” perk options.
