Mama June Hospitalized After Collapse — Honey Boo Boo Comforts Her Mom In The Hospital

Mama June Shannon is currently resting in the hospital after a very scary collapse in her Georgia home on Wednesday. Although it’s not clear what exactly is going on with the former TLC star, she is not alone, as her 10-year old daughter, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, is there, according to People. It’s possible that Mama June’s recent collapse is a result of a very strict diet the reality star is said to be on.

Apparently, Mama June had been feeling sick earlier in the day and even reported throwing up. She also had eaten very little prior to her scary fainting spell. According to TMZ, Mama June was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday night by her 16-year-old daughter, Pumpkin, whose real name is Lauryn Shannon. They reported that Mama June passed out after walking down the stairs in her house. June regained consciousness but then passed out several more times.

The Honey Boo Boo matriarch is still in the hospital, and her rep claims that doctors are still running tests on the controversial Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star. There is a suspicion that June’s condition is related to a very strict diet she is reportedly on recently, but there is still not confirmation if she has something more serious going on. Shannon is currently undergoing tests and will have a CT scan done to determine what might have caused the scary fainting spells.

The most recent hospitalization for Mama June comes just one year after she was hospitalized with pneumonia. Gossip Cop recalled last year when Mama June was very sick with pneumonia and ended up in the hospital with a fever of 103 degrees. After her last release, Mama June was told to stay on bed rest as she recovered. Fans of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo are hoping that Mama June’s current health crisis is even less serious than last year, and that she can come home soon.

Mama June has recently been dieting and from many accounts, she has been very strict about what to eat. June has denied several reports claiming that she had weight loss surgery, instead the former TLC star claims that she has been on a very strict diet and lost around 150 pounds.

Shannon recently made headlines when she underwent CoolSculpting to reduce her double chin. This is a plastic surgery alternative designed to kill fat cells through the use of Cryolipolysis. Never one to shy away from the cameras, June shared her experience with cameras and helped to shed a little light on the newer procedure that could eliminate the need for some plastic surgery.

In a recent picture shared after Mama June’s collapse, her daughter, Honey Boo Boo, can be seen keeping her mom company in the hospital. In it, Honey Boo Boo’s mom can be seen lying on her side in a hospital bed and she looks very tired. While she is resting, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is sitting at her bedside with a partial smile.

Is it possible that extreme weight loss is the reason for Mama June’s collapse? The reality star has talked a lot recently about her diet, and has even publicly had plastic surgery alternatives done to enhance her looks after losing quite a bit of weight. Fans of the former TLC star hope that nothing serious is wrong with the controversial reality star.
