Heidi Montag Fights, Cries, And Vomits On New Reality Show With Mom Darlene Egelhoff [Video]

Heidi Montag is back on reality TV, but this time, she is facing off with her mother, Darlene Egelhoff, not her famous bad boy husband, Spencer Pratt.

Montag is one hot mess in the new Lifetime reality show The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition, which features six D-list celebrity mothers and daughters working to mend their broken relationships. Yes, that means instead of fighting with Spencer, Heidi will be hashing out her relationship issues her mom, Darlene. Only one episode has aired so far, and Montag has already cried, got drunk, vomited, and engaged in a fight with the therapist, Dr. Debbie Magids. Egelhoff, for her part, did show her motherly love by holding her daughters hair while Heidi vomited everywhere.

Things are only going to get more out of control and ridiculous as the show goes on. Montag will finally confront Egelhoff about her reaction to Heidi’s infamous 10 plastic surgeries in one day. In case you are unfamiliar with this family’s falling out, here is the lowdown. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were front and center on The Hills. In a much-talked-about episode, Montag traveled to Colorado to show Darlene her new and improved self. Her mother’s reaction was not what Heidi anticipated or expected. Let’s just say that Egelhoff was not impressed with her daughter’s new look and didn’t shy away from telling her.

After years of turmoil with her mom and shutting out her family, Heidi will finally confront her mom — on national TV of course. Along with Darlene’s reaction to Montag’s new look, the two will have it out over Heidi’s quest for fame and her husband, Spencer. It would seem that these two are going no holds bar with no topic off limits. There will be the kind of drama that fans have come to expect from Heidi and Spencer, only this time, he is not even there. It is TV that is so bad it is good.

Heidi rose to fame quickly when she joined then pal Lauren Conrad on The Hills. The show was an instant hit. Montag’s part on the show grew when she began dating the show’s villain, Spencer Pratt. Their on-again-off-again dysfunctional relationship became a main story point until the show ended. Heidi and Spencer became known as Speidi and were living the high life. However, once the show was over, so was their large pay days and fame. After spending a couple of years away from reality TV, the couple was featured recently on WEtv show Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars.

In true reality TV fashion, Heidi Montag and Darlene Egelhoff will live in a house with the other mother and daughters that are on the show. This season, Heidi and Darlene will be sharing a house with RHOBH star Kim Richards and her daughter Kimberly Jackson, Bad Girls Club alum Natalie Nunn and her mother Karen, Shar Jackson and daughter Cassidy, and finally Courtney Stodden and her mother Krista. It may not be the most famous cast around but one thing all of these players have in common is drama. If the first episode is any indication, things are going to get a lot worse for this cast of ladies before it gets better.

Will the show repair Montag and Egelhoff’s damaged relationship? That remains to be seen but for now, fans can buckle in and enjoy the ride as Heidi and Darlene do damage control. The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition airs Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. EST Lifetime.
